☀️🔥 Too Hot to Handle: Protect Your Pets from Heat Exhaustion! 🔥☀️
Summer is here, and while we love the sunshine, it can be dangerous for our furry friends! 🐶🐱 Pets are at risk for heat exhaustion and heatstroke, which can quickly become life-threatening.
🚨 Watch for signs of overheating:
• Excessive panting or drooling
• Lethargy or weakness
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Bright red gums or tongue
• Collapse or unresponsiveness
🐾 Tips to keep pets cool and safe:
• Always provide shade and fresh water
• Avoid outdoor activity during peak heat (10am–4pm)
• NEVER leave pets in a parked car — even for a minute!
• Be cautious on hot pavement — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!
If your pet shows any signs of heat exhaustion, treat it as an emergency. Rapid cooling and immediate veterinary care can save their life.
