Meet Elle:
I thought I would share a little bit about myself for those of you who do not know me. Here is my shortened story…
I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan showing hunters and jumpers mostly locally. Once I began competing I was hooked and hungry to learn everything about the sport. After high school, I attended the University of Findlay. The highlight of my college career was competing on the IHSA team. In 2016 I was champion at Nationals and in 2017 I was co-captain of the team. Competing for my school and being with my teammates was everything to me! During the summers and on weekends I worked for various professionals, traveling to horse shows to groom, braid, clip, catch ride, basically anything that I could do to learn and get in the ring.
Shortly after graduation I turned pro and continued to work for many top professionals across the country. I gained valuable experience, knowledge, and built lasting relationships. I participated in 2 regional and 2 National USHJA Emerging Athletes Program competitions (such an awesome program!). As I was working in the industry I was able to produce my own young horses as well as train many others. I continued to gain experience in the show ring, teaching students and managing quality programs. I spent the summers on the East Coast and winters in Florida for 5 years.
In the spring of 2023, I transitioned to a career in Clinical Research and moved from Wellington to Grand Rapids. With my career change and working remotely, I have brought my passion for teaching and riding locally. I feel so fortunate to continue to be involved in the sport!
My goal is to continue to help horses and riders meet their goals through compassionate teaching, an understanding of horsemanship, and a foundation of proper position and communication with their horse.
