I have a new friend. His name is Robert, and he takes care of me hooves. Mom held me and loved on me and talked to me to keep me calm. He was a very nice man and was very gentle to me too. I like him and can't to have him come back for another visit. By the way. Thank you, Robert, my feet feel Greatttttt.

Boy is it 🔥 🥵 Hot. Mom has been leaving me in the barn to keep me out of the sun. The other day she sprayed me down with water. It felt so good. As soon as it cools down, she's going to make me a new place to live where I can go outside and eat the grass whenever I want to

I do hope it is nice outside Saturday. I can get out of the barn and into the back yard. Mom says my new water tub is in. She's going to pick it up tomorrow

Yesterday, mom took me outside.. It was so nice and warm. I could feel the sun on my back. Mom got me a barrel for water as well as feeding me out there too. She kept telling Cookie "no" I think she wanted to play. Mom came out and told me to be a good girl that she had to go to work. And soon it started trying to rain. Dad came out and got me and led me back to my stall so I wouldn't get wet and then get sick
He's so sweet. Both my new mom and dad really loves and cares for me. I am so lucky. Thank you Lord.

What happened to the weather? It is COLD!!! Mom won't let me go outside when it is cold and rainy. But they got me so fresh hay. Dad fussed at her, but it did no good. I won!!! Can't wait for it to warm up again

Mom finally got the report from Texas A& M. Lots of information that even I didn't know. I'm a bigger girl than i even thought I was. 254 KG or 559 #. The doctors say that i am suffering from "moon Blindness" My question is if the moon makes me blind then what am I when the sun is out? I still can't see. Mom has some medicine to give me in my eyes and I do NOT like it. The other medicine she puts in my feed which is easier to take. The one thing for sure is that I am an AMERICAN. Yep, you heard that right. The doctors decided that I am an Americas Pony. A foundation stallion was an Arabian / Appaloosa / Shetland pony cross. My type was first bred in Iowa. A breed registry was founded in 1954, and within 15 years had registered 12,500 ponies. WOW that is a lot of us ponies. The doctors think that an eye infection called Leptospira is what caused my blindness. Had I been taken to a doctor when I first got the infection, I would still be able to see but I was neglected and so I live mt life in darkness. But Mom and Dad take's good care of me. Well I am tired and I am going to bed for now. Good night to all

Mom put me back in the barn in my stove this afternoon said it was time for me to go back but it was nice outside I even spent the night outside got to lay down and roll over and scratch my back. There's some barbed wire in the backyard and that is so afraid I'm going to get into it and he was outside working and afraid I would get into it so Mom went ahead and put me back My friends were there with me for a while today and I can tell Mom is keeping a close eye on them especially the one called Cookie Monster it sounds like she might be the youngest one and always the one in trouble

Today was a nice day. I could feel the sun on my back and it felt so good. A little windy but still okay. No rain. Mom took me back where I could get some grass and I spent the afternoon there. Then when it was time foe to go back to my stall, dad and mom went and got me a bunch of hay along with my feed. I met another horse today. His name was Buddy. I was up by the fence and he reached over the fence and started licking me. He was very nice to me. One day I hope to be able to go out there with everyone.

Mom came out to feed me tonight. It was so nice to feel her touches until she started with the Medicine again. I know that she is doing only what the doctors told her to do but I still don't like it. Dad went and got me some more hay and ohhhh how I love the hay. And i got Oats and Alpha cubes too with my sweet feed. I hope I never ever leave here. Mom says that when she gets some time off of work, she still working a lot, that we are going to go for a walk, and I will soon meet Robert a friend of theirs's. I am so excited.

Well we made it back from Texas A & M without any problems. Mom and dad is having a hard time with what the doctors told them especially dad.They both were hoping that I would someway, somehow be able to see but the doctor says there's no way. The blindness is a permanent thing. It was caused when I got a bacterial infection of the eyes and the owners that I had at the time did not get it treated.It could have been avoided but for whatever reason I wasn't good enough for him to spend money on to let me see or call a vet to find out what could happen. The flap on my forehead was caused by me running into something and getting my head infected the infection is gone and mom told them to go ahead and remove the flap so they did that and I'm on antibiotics for that Mom mixes it with my feed so I can't tell you if I like it or not but I can tell you I do like the sweet feed. Mom has some cream that she has to put in my eyes all the time because my eyes are swollen and they need to get them back to their normal size, plus this cream will finish killing out the bacteria that's in my eyes then we also found out that I have cataracts and they can't be removed because there are inside my eye. I guess you humans have cataracts but they're on the outside, horses have them on the inside. Texas A & M is starting to have experiments with eyeball transplants and Daddy asked about that. Right now, it's not going to good cuz it's in the early stages but maybe if they get all the bugs out I might be a candidate.It would be nice to see again but at least I did see for a while and I have my memories. They're keeping me still in the barn because of the weather and that's okay because they get me out and walk me in the yard so I have plenty of exercise. I have one of the other horses that tries to nuzzle me and she gives me kisses. Mom calls her Cinnamon and I think that's Mom's big horse. She's very sweet I'm hoping we can really be friends. Well it's getting late and I think I'm going to go ahead and lay down and go to sleep. Tomorrow's another day maybe I'll get to spend some time with Mom. she's been so busy working I'm really worried about her I don't want her to overwork and get sick but she says she's going to be okay I hope so cuz I'm really beginning to love these people.

I am now seeing another doctor called a surgeon. The bump ony head he is removing. however without knowing what happened I can't say for sure but most likely it happened when she ran into something doctors want to talk to mom and dad
about what they found out. They were really nice. And smelled good too.

Well we're finally stopped mom and dad is opening up the trailer and getting me out there's another woman and another man they seem very young that they're talking to Mom, who is standing here petting me letting me know it's going to be okay. I'm going to go with these two people and see a doctor they're going to check my eyes and check the bump on my head wow Mom and Dad must really love me to do all of this I've never had anything like this before I wonder if I'll be able to see if they can get me to see

Well I don't know where we are at but we stopped. Mom took Dusty out for exercise and was petting me. I heard Dad ask Mom how much further and she said 93 miles. Nice day for a drive.

Well we are on the road. Mom came and got me from the barn and led me to the trailer. Dad was inside the trailer and helped me up. Cinnamon game me a kiss as I left. She is really nice. We got a dog with us too. Think her name is Dusty..

Well I haven't seen Mom all day. Dad says she's working a double. Mom she's to do a lot of work. Dad brought the trailer from the pasture for me tonight. Tomorrow is the big day. I hope these doctors can help me. I want to see butterflies and birds again. Well I had better get se rep too. Good night all.

and after my stall is cleaned and I am done exercising, it is dinner time with sweet feed. Boy oh boy that is some GOOD stuff!!!! You should try some if you ever get a chance, just DON'T take any of mine.

This is my stall inside the barn. I have a lot of room to move around with hay and feed plus fresh water all the time. Cinnamon saw the gate open and shut it on Mom.

Mom set up a Go Fund Me Account to try to help with my expenses. As all of you know, ponies do not have medical insurance and we do not know how much this will cost mom and dad. If there is anything that can help me, I know that Texas A & M can do it and I really hope that they can. I would love to see mom and dad and my new friends that I have made, Cinnamon and Jenny. If you can't help financially, we understand but prayers never hurt either.

Mom and Dad are so excited. They got a call today from the eye department at Texas A&M Vet School. The people want me to come down and they are going to see if they can help me get my sight back if that is possible. It would be nice to be able to see again. I have to be there on Valentine Day. HAY I have a day named after me. that is so cool.
I am still in the barn and Mom says she is going to take me out and walk me so I can get some exercise. My stall is big but I really need to stretch my legs and she knows that too.

Hi everyone. Let me introduce myself. I am a 10-year-old pony that is blind. This past week, I got a new family to live with and they are going to try to get me to see someone who may be able to help me. I do not know why I am blind, but I did see at one time. Any way, they got me home and put me in a big pen for me to get use to. They feed me some food that was so sweet. I really like it too. Plus, I have my hay and water. Then the other day my new mom and dad got worried and started working and soon I was moved into the barn. Bad weather was coming, and they wanted me safe and warm. I have made a couple of friends here too. One is named Jenny and the other is Cinnamon. Cinnamon took me by surprised when she met me and gave me a kiss. She protects me from the others. I hope that you will continue to read about me as I am sure that Mom and Dad has plans for me.
