!!!!!!!!Help!!!!!!!!

Zeke just found these nuggets under the lawnmower. They were not there last week, so momma must have moved them there sometime recently.

We are going to put them out when it cools down and see if momma comes back and tends to them. If not, I will need some help locating a rescue or someone who can care for them.

Amy advice or help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

My favorite frugal meal: crockpot rabbit.
Add in the cost of an onion, potatoes, and a couple of carrots, this meal will feed a family with plenty of leftovers for less than $10!

Things have been quiet here lately, as our family has been grieving the loss of a loved one.
But as anyone who works with plants or animals knows, the wheel keeps turning and life must go on.
We're going to focus on our fruit-bearing crops this year, and are anticipating a garden full of colorful tomatoes and peppers.
Seedlings are late but popping up, reminding us that life is always ready to begin anew.

There has been a confirmed case of the RHD2 virus in Florida. While it is always important to take serious biosecurity measures with your herds, with the virus now on the east coast, it is vital to the survival of your herd to take precautions against disease transmission.
This post is intended to spread knowledge, not panic. Please take the time to read the attached pictures and please ask any questions you may have.

What a cold, dreary day!
Since the weather outside is so miserable, I decided to stock up today on some freezer meals. A little bit of preparation today gave me one dinner to cook tonight, and three more meals that can be quickly thawed and cooked on a later, busy evening.
This recipe is endlessly customizable, and is perfect when served with a side of biscuits!

Creamy Mushroom Rabbit Freezer Meal

Ingredients:
10 cups cooked rice
4 cups cooked, shredded rabbit
2- 26oz cans Cream of Mushroom soup
4 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
3- 15oz cans of mixed veggies

To Prepare:
1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl
2. Divide mix into a baking dish (if cooking tonight) and 3 gallon-size freezer bags (4 bags if freezing the whole batch). Each container will get 5 cups of the mix.
3. Bake at 350° for approx 30 min, or freeze for 3 months (dont forget to label your bags with the contents and date Before filling them!)

After frozen, the bags can be taken out and thawed overnight in the fridge. Or if frozen in foil baking pans, this dish can be taken from the freezer straight to the oven and baked for approx 90min.

I have always loved trying new recipes, and this one is a first for us . . . Rabbit Pot Pie!

I adapted the recipe for this from Campbell's Easy Chicken Pot Pie Recipe.

Ingredients
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Cream of Chicken Soup
1 1/4 cup milk, divided
2 1/4 cup mixed vegetables (canned are fine, thaw first if using frozen)
2 cups shredded rabbit
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups biscuit baking mix

To prepare:
Step 1:
Heat the oven to 400°F. Stir the soup, 1/2 cup milk, vegetables and rabbit in a 9-inch cast iron skillet.

Step 2
Stir the remaining 3/4 cup milk, eggs and baking mix in a small bowl. Spread the batter over the chicken mixture

Step 3
Bake for 35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown

After I process our rabbits, I crockpot them in broth on low for 6 hours. Then I shred the meat, and pack it in canning jars with broth then freeze. I've found this takes up way less space in the freezer, and I just thaw the jars before using in recipes like this.
