A couple of Boxford Bandogges - Jax and Kano - from a breeding of Maddox (Boxford’s Shaka x Estella) to Nyla (Boxford's Cooper x Freya). Maddox and Nyla are owned by our friend Nathan who lives in Tennessee. Thanks to their owner Ann for a great pic and a caption that says it all.

We had a spare Embark DNA test kit, so we decided to use it on one of the pups. We had to name her when we submitted the swab, so for want of anything better, we called her Raven.
Results were as expected.

Life is a lot easier when they start going to their new homes. Another one leaves this week and then we will be down to 1 boy and 4 girls.

I had to swing by the local bike shop to check on one of my motorcycles, so I decided to take the big guy along for the ride. 10 weeks and 30 lbs!

So, if things were different, we'd be keeping this chunky girl!

They're so funny. Playtime outside must mean run!

One of the male pups at 8 1/2 weeks.
Some of the females from recent litters have been a little smaller than I would have liked (they have been of an acceptable weight, but on the lower end of my “standard”), so I decided to pull heavily on Boxford’s Shaka - 31 inches and 145 lbs - with this breeding, in order to bring a little more height and weight back into my line.
Did it work? Only time will tell, but these are certainly some good sized pups.
