I love smart babies! This is one of two ranch bred quarter horse fillies we worked on trail loading yesterday.
This one showed us within minutes how eager she is to please.
Note: yes I’m sending them in ahead of me. I still teach them to wait until I come in so I can tie and close panels. I also teach them to follow me in. We try to get each horse to load several ways since everyone they encounter in life may do it a little different. 🙂

The MTR has the pleasure of riding and promoting two Canadian Horses owned by Reveille Canadians. The young Storybook Prince-2 Diva “Abigail”, and Temis Uvani Heritage “Heritage”.
Heritage has been with us for several years now and foaled our first homegrown Canadian by our late stallion Royalty. She now enjoys packing our boys around for after school rides.
Abigail joined us in southern Oregon for some exposure and experience around cattle.
We look forward to seeing what she can do, and taking her to some shows to help promote the Canadian horse! 🤠😍🇨🇦♥️

These horses are so special to us. They shifted our ranch’s business plan in 2019 when we first met them and learned they were critically endangered.
So far our breeding operation has been successful and we have introduced them to two new owners who were not previously Canadian Horse owners. This is a small step in our main goal. But it’s still a step worth celebrating.
So far the road of being heritage breeders to the Canadian Horse has been full of successes and losses, smiles and tears. The nature of ranching is hard, but we will continue to push through hard times and focus on saving this breed. ♥️🇨🇦🇺🇸💙

Farriers are essential to our horses care. No hoof, no horse!
So we believe it’s essential to ensure we keep them safe while working with a horse. Let’s face it, they tend to be in the most precarious positions sometimes, and holding a dangerous part of the horse.

This big guy was a horse that had his owners convinced he was going nowhere in a rolling tin can. He seemed to be certain the trailer was a den for rabid bears.
We helped change his mind it wasn’t a bad place to be, and gave his owners the confidence to load him on their own.
