Big Nate & Big Daddy mounted this big beautiful leopard today 🤩

Fun fact....They did not make a leopard manikin in this size and pose, so the guys had to do some serious alterations for this one...lots of cutting, foaming and shaping involved! It turned out fantastic!!!

Our shop is being featured in a film called "The Beast of Trinity Texas" 🤩

They will be shooting at our location until the wee hours of the morning, so please don't be alarmed if you drive by and see tons of cars, people and police action 😉

Bow Season opens this weekend and we are ready to start processing!!

We will be open M-F from 8-5 and every Saturday from 8-12 noon.

If you need our services after hours, the on-call person's information will be posted on the door (south side of building where we unload). The on-call person changes every week.
Please do not call until you have arrived at the shop.

Lil Nate and Kirk have been busy mounting birds - these are in the drying phase now.
Once they're mounted and feathers are pinned and taped in place, they sit for 10-14 days to dry. Once they're dry, the pins and tape can be pulled, then they're bills and feet are painted with an airbrush to finish them up 🦆

We are getting ready for deer season~ Making some improvements to our cooler!!

(Fun fact- our cooler was once part of a battleship~ used for food storage. Floyd Salmon moved it here back in the 1980's and our shop is built around it)

Shout out to Shaver @ Huff Welding for the new carcass hanging pegs! We can now easily hang 2 deer on each one 😉

Wednesday Workflow 👇

The guys are mounting a rack full of whitetails after mounting several life size trophies from the Cameroon and Ethiopia last week including a bongo and a giant forest hog 😳....

Lil Nate and Kirk have been busy little bees~ check out these birds they finished up this week....have you ever seen a whiffling goose?

The whiffling position is very tricky~ the bird is flying with it's body upside down, but it's neck and head are twisted 180* around in a normal position. This aviation tactic is mainly used by geese to slow themselves down for a landing when they're coming in hot!
