Good Morning Everyone. Hoping to find you all with smiles. I am reaching out in regards to our animal babies, we are in need of some supplies to prepare for the colder weather. We have some heat bulbs that need replaced and also need to add a few, We need a few tarps and our Main thing is HAY. I have found someone local that sells our squares for a much more reasonable price so we would like to get as much as possible delivered. We appreciate everyone's help in the up keep of taking care of our Rescue 🥰

The Story of Rowan 🐷

Last week Amy Mullins reached out to a few of us In hopes of helping A little pig named Rowan as She was positive for COVID and could not assist at the time. Not knowing much about Rowan but a few simple details, he was Three, had always been a inside pig and his parents were going threw divorce and he now has ended up in a situation…I took the two hour drive to Rocky Mtn. NC. Upon arriving I was a little shook by my surroundings, I had to follow this man down this dirt road threw the woods for quiet sometime until we finally reached a clearing and I was hit with a terrible smell. I got out my car and to the left was a pin that held about 10-15 baby hogs, In front was another with 8 HUGE hogs and to my right was one more pin that so many I was unable to count, these were medium size hogs weighing a good 100-150 pounds. As I approached the fence I could see Rowan from the pictures I had received. He was terrified and scared but his little tail was slowly wagging. He was covered in Scrapes and Scratches, had a few bite marks, and was coated in what I believe was mud and ya Know 💩 He was super easy to load which wasn’t a surprise to me as I assume he was ready to get out. I talked to him the whole way home. My daughter and I unloaded him and he walked around like he Knew the place, Immediately located his pile of blankets and I don’t think his tail stopped wagging for days 🥰 He used his litter box like a Champ, was very well mannered and extremely smart. He’s been here a little over a week now I still get upset looking at him, How could his previous mom just dump him in a pin with hogs with nothing after three years of being inside with blankets, toys, people….I just don’t understand but then I reminded myself this is why I do what I do. Rolly is his name here and we are very Great full to have such a intelligent soul with us.

‼️‼️ WE HAVE SEVERE WEATHER COMING‼️‼️

Hello Everyone, As we All Know the weather has NOT been on many of our Rescue’s sides lately. Some have had major repairs and some have even lost lives to this cold. It is extremely unfortunate. Trying to be as prepared as possible we need funds for Hay for our outside animals so we can keep them as warm as possible as the Snow comes in.

I recived a call this past Friday about two ladies that got the attention of Animal Control after someone called and reported them for being in the road. After speaking and gathering information this was a sad situation...There Human dad had passed away. We right then made the decision to take these gals in. Monday morning we arrived at Sampson County Animal Control and at first sight my heart hurt for them. They were so scared and confused. After the work out of loading them up, we ended up with a busted crate and One bite out of 6 Adults lol. Car ride was perfect as i belive the AC was the peace maker. After getting home and getting them unloaded we let them settle in and calm down. Its been 4 days now and they are both doing great. We had concerns about the fencing because they have always been free romaing but to my surprise they both found spots and made themselves right at home. We are still getting info on there ages from neighbors and friends of there dad.

On January 20 I was notified of a urgent situation for a pig no one knew anything about. This pig was found as a stray and was due to be euthanized the next morning at 10 am ( mind you I wasn't aware of this until around 9ish that night). A group of wonderful people all worked extremely hard together and We were able to pull the pig at 10am on the dot. At first sight My heart ached for this baby 😔 and I just wanted to instally love on it lol buttt this pig was old and set in its ways, I knew then we had some work to do. The car ride home was a little over two hours and went smoothly, not so smooth when we got home. Our other piggies were not excited. We had no choice but to bring this baby inside (which now looking back was the best). I went in and made sure the house was pig proof bc once again we had no idea if this pig had ever been inside, I rolled my carpet up and for the next 48 hours the pig claimed that as its safety spot. Now I'm sure some of you are wondering by now why I haven't said the gender 🤔 Funny story...We were told we had a lady..as the days went on we realized we had a mister...a old fella that I now call Mr.Dudley (named him after my grandpa simply bc the personalities fit)Poor thing even his adoption sheet from the shelter says female 🤦‍♀️ I have worked extremely hard with this guy and even though I still can't get down on the floor and snuggle him(bc hes obsessed with his personal space)he has come a long way. Now that we have had his hooves trimmed he travels all over the house especially to the kitchen 🤪 He makes it a point every single night at bed time to prop his self up right beside my bed, And that is enough for me, I no he's telling me thankyou and it melts my heart. The vet estimated Mr. Dudley at around 8-9 years old and told us he showed signs of neglect. I hope and pray that my family and I are able to let him live out his days being happy and just being a pig 😌

Dudley now has a inside friend as well, We thought it would be good for him to socialize with another pig. Bella is only 2 and they seem to have a father daughter relationship going on 😁 Its quiet funny at times. But they do great together ❤
