First and foremost we want to wish everyone a happy holidays and Happy New Year! Josh and I have decided to dissolve Big Sky Danes and Daniffs as of this year as we both move in different, but BIG directions. Josh was recently married and has taken on a new position as the administrator of Green Apple 🍏 Counseling! I will continue with Big Sky Acres 🐮 and affiliate marketing 💥 What this means for you as a current Big Sky Danes and Daniffs puppy owner, or if you have a deposit for a puppy:

- I will continue to retain all records and will fulfill the agreements. If you have questions about your dog, or if you end up needing to return your dog to me, I will still be available.
- If I have not yet created a Facebook messenger group for your litter, I will do so shortly. I want everyone to remain connected 🤗
- Due to life events, I will most likely be breeding fall 2024.
- If, for whatever reason, we decide not to continue breeding, your deposit will be returned to you.
- Our website will also be dissolved as of January 6, 2024, but I am available via messenger, text, or phone call.
- Big Sky Acres also offers Scottish Highland and HighPark (British White Parks/Highland) calfs and mini-donkey foals!
- Please keep in mind, I still work during the week, so try to give me a little time and grace to get back to you!

Joshua Green and I have worked very hard to build our business and the best reputation possible. I will do my best for a seamless transition. Positive thoughts and prayers are always welcomed. This is an X-ray of a dog’s bent front leg. See that tiny white spec? That’s a microchip! It has migrated down the leg....far from where it was inserted, between the dog’s shoulders. This is actually quite common.....

When lost pets are scanned, the entire body SHOULD be scanned to catch any that have migrated. But, as an owner, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT THEIR YEARLY VET EXAM, to ask for a quick scan to make sure that: (1) the chip is still working, (2) the location of the chip is good, and (3) that the chip info is correct.

Remember microchips save lives and reunite families with their pet.... just have it checked regularly!

Juno (Hail), Mak (Foggy), and Baloo aka Lulu (Windy) have found their forever homes! Mak leaves to Arizona with my momma next weekend and Juno to Deer Lodge, MT at the end of the month. Baloo aka Lulu went to the sweetest home in Billings ❤️ Stormy is still looking for her forever home! She was 17 weeks yesterday, and sweet as pie!

Puppy Going Home Info:
As puppies are going home we always want to provide lots of support as it is new for both puppy and families!

*Be careful where you’re letting your puppy go potty in public area! They’ve only had 2 sets of their shots, so a slow traffic area is recommended. When taking your puppy to the vet, we recommend carrying them into their appointment until they are fully vaccinated at 16 weeks of age. You never know if someone else’s animal has been sick and your may contract the illness, such as the parvovirus. We know you want to take your new lovey with you to the pet store to get toys, treats, and all the other fun things, but this is another place that they could contract an illness! Carry your puppy if you choose to take them with you.

*Puppy treats! Healthy alternatives are blueberries, carrots, and apples in moderation. You can also fill Kongs or other toys with these fruits and veggies, toss a little peanut butter or PLAIN Greek yogurt, and/or dog biscuits, and freeze them! This is a great treat to keep them busy.***Remember peanut butter cannot be sugar free as artificial sweeteners will severely harm or even cause death in our puppies. 🏡🐾

Importance about their food- feed ADULT food, not puppy food. Great Danes and Daniffs grow for 2-3 years and need to grow slowly. Otherwise this negatively impacts their joints, ligaments, and growth plates. If you feed your pup correctly, you can also count on a longer life expectancy. All important calcium levels best for large breeds, between 1% to 1.3%. Phosphorus levels from 0.8% to 1.3% and calcium to phosphorus ratio between 1:1 and 1.4:1. We feed Diamond Hi Energy which fits these ratios.

The pups are enjoying a some playtime with Landon. That's Tex crawling all over him. It's amazing how fast they grow and learn. We have the p*e pads laid out and we're already working on a little potty training. Here is the breakdown on weights:
