I’ve got to take a minute to give a training shout out to Madilynn and her dog Colton. They originally got in contact because Colton was starting to show aggression towards other dogs. They have been working hard and it absolutely shows. Madilynn blasted through phase 1 with all A+’s and Colton is acting like a different dog. I can’t wait to see what in store for us in phase 2. Absolutely Stellar Madi! Good Job.

Bring us all of the muffins and bagels in the land! Today we drink from the keg of glory! Kona and I were thrown out of this Cabalas store 5 weeks ago because he was afraid and barking at everything and everyone. Today we returned and Kona was a perfect puppy. Ignore my derpy face. That’s just how I look.

Believe it or not we were training TWO dogs named Kona today. Boy Kona I introduced earlier today and Girl Kona is a Mal just like Senna. In fact it’s his little sister!

Meet Kona! Kona is a 6 month old German Shepherd that will be day training with the me for the next 6 weeks. He’s absolutely gassed from a morning of hard work and falling asleep on me so we’re going to take a ride and nap for a bit.

Hazel and Mavis originally started working with us for “dog aggression”. Here is our second walk with another dog and they are rocking it. We’re going to keep working with other dogs and start doing some sport nose work to keep them stimulated. Www.noblehousedogtraining.com

Creating leadership for your dog starts with providing for them. Make them work for their meals instead of just handing food to them and walking away. Here is a quick clip of Senna working for his breakfast. Very simple drill of giving him a handful of food when he shows me where the odor is. You can do this with any obedience command. Sit, shake, roll over. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you make your dog work for the reward. No handouts here, only a hand up. Leadership in dogs has secondary and tertiary effects that go beyond this simple obedience exercise of pointing out where the odor is.
