Dear friends and fans of LTDs Magic Man. For a week I’ve struggled to put these words together and it's just not getting any easier...so here goes….
Last Saturday at 9pm, Magic, my heart horse of 31 years, left this world with my arms hugging him and his head on my lap. As he took his last breath, my tears streamed onto his beautiful face and I told him I loved him… over and over. Every time I go to the barn the tears fall. His empty stall makes my heart drop.. He always got fed first. So many things labeled Magic Man in the feed room My whole routine has changed. Knowing I’ll never see him again is so hard to comprehend. A part of my spirit is missing. Magic really was a gift from God, born on my birthday, April 25, 1990. He was the beginning of a dream to raise show quality overos that would be highly sought after for their quality and beauty. Magic Man made that dream come true in so many ways, Magic was my best friend and insisted on giving me hugs as soon as he saw me. My friendly greeter, always ready to put his head in the halter and go outside. My gentle, kind soul that loved attention from everyone and gave so much affection back. My smart little “Magico” as I fondly called him, would see me with his blanket and duck his head right into it, proudly waiting for me to do the belly strap. My stunning Magic Man showed his heart out ever single time and took me to the winners circle again and again. Magic Man loved to jump and would canter so perfectly next to me. His hoofbeats will always ring in my ears as we cantered to win unanimous National Champion Hunter in Columbia, MO. Such a graceful, elegant jumper. Magic’s talent in harness brought him fame too. His beautiful drive at AMHA Worlds won our first AMHA Title in Amateur Country Pleasure…Magic and his son Grand Slam made a stunning picture winning AMHA World Best Matched Pair. The first medicine hat frame overos to ever be shown. I remember we could barely get to the classes at the shows because everyone wanted to know about Magic Man and his amazing color. I cherish his Pinto World Titles and AMHR Breeder of the Year Award. So many things that made Magic a once in a lifetime horse. Thank you Magic for all the Magic you brought to my life and for making LTD a part of Miniature Horse History...So many memories. This doesn’t come close to expressing how much I adore and love you. You were Magic in the Ring and Magic as a Sire! Your foals live all over the world and are a testimony to your legacy. Magic Man, You made more dreams come true then I could have ever imagined. I was truely blessed to have you for so many years.
