Sharing my new page… This page will be out of commission for a while since I permanently retired as a dog walker and am not in a position to foster with Roma. Hopefully I can successfully rebrand myself and can share a talent that I haven’t really cultivated in a long time.

Super cool clouds on the way home. Helps encourage me more towards my desire to start taking pictures again, even though I only had my cell phone with me. It’s been a pretty rough couple of days. I didn’t get the most favorable advice from the doctor yesterday, previous hobbies. I guess it’s good because it ended my denial that everything is going to be back the way it used to be when I finish physical therapy. In fact, I turned in my “orange” dot key today and just the reality of that was really hard for me. The silver lining is that I bought my new camera earlier, so hopefully I’ll be back to volunteer as a photographer from time to time.

Last doggie of the day was Hercules (A504529), a ten year old senior recovering from Valley Fever. He was so sweet and was just content to lay down and rest, of course receiving love. He is such a gentle soul and needs a quiet place to recover and rest.

Denver (A762572) is a two year old male, but still acts young. He could be calm or he could be spirited and it would alternate. He was a sweet, smart boy, who liked pets and treats, and also knew sit and where the treats were located! Even though he has some energy wanting the treats, he always took them with a soft mouth.

Last pair was Sky (A761192) and Max (A761194). Their numbers are close together, but it doesn’t appear they came together. Sky is the brindle female with the super cool eyes! She’s maybe a year old, so there’s lots of puppy in her still. Max is the brown and white male. He’s about a year old too and has some energy, but isn’t quite as energetic as Sky. He has pretty cool eyes too, with each being a different color. These guys were a lot of fun together and really seemed to like being with each other. They were just difficult to photograph together bc they were so active!!

The next pair was Brownie (A755336) and Puck (A758976). Brownie (the brown one) is a high energy, 3 year old female and Puck (the black one) is an almost two year old shy dog. The partnership seems to work, as Puck was way more confident when he was with Brownie than by himself. They were a pair put together by PACC and are not bonded, but as always, dog introductions are recommended with your resident dogs.

An old favorite of mine, Kisses (A734866), who I guess is really named Kooper, since he knows that name. He’s been in foster and is such a sweetie. He’s another senior and is almost 10 years old, but is still fun and energetic. He actually seems to have calmed down in foster, so that’s great. He was a perfect gentleman and even walked on my left without pulling, like a very good boy!

Mike and I walked some kennel mates, the first of whom were the bonded pair, Toby (A605279) and Madeline (766701). If we didn’t have two dogs already, I’m sure these seniors would be living at our home. Toby has some Golden in him and Madeline is a little dog… so perfect for our preferences! They’re both 11 years old and super sweet. Surely someone has room in their home for these easy going pups…

I got to walk my boy yesterday!! Alec (A707909) has been back at PACC for a while and it’s been longer since he has seen me (or Mike), but he was so happy that I took him out and also that Mike was with us. How could you not love this face?!?

The last pair we walked were the bonded pair Leah (A761381) and Bodhi (A761380). They definitely loved being with each other and wanted treats from whoever was giving them! Leah knew to sit (as did Bodhi, which I saw, but did not experience, since I walked Leah). They were good walkers and sweet puppies. I’m a little confused about whether they need to be adopted together, but since they were listed as being a bonded pair, I would think that means they are looking for a home together.

Update: Patrone got adopted!!

Eliza (A755600) and Patrone (A704406) are two cohoused dogs that I walked with another walker. I walked Patrone (the brown and white male) and the other walker took Eliza (the black female). They were both good at sitting for treats and were strong pullers, but pretty good on the leash. Patrone loved pets and was a really sweet boy.

A762321 - SUAVO was a sweet boy. He knows sit, and is very treat motivated, but took them nicely when directed to. He is a strong boy, but settled nicely during our walk. It broke my heart that he didn’t want to go back to the kennel, so I had to bribe him to get him to walk back.

A756516 - C**T. C**t was a good walker and impressed me immensely when I stopped to talk to another dog walker (at an appropriate distance) and he sat down and waited patiently for me to finish my conversation. He knows sit, lay down, and shake. He was such a gentleman and a good looking fellow.

Update: Otis went to foster!!

A746798 - OTIS was low key dude, a great walker, and was laid back, even when walking in the vicinity of other dogs. I understand he has some kennel reactivity issues, but we avoided that situation and he was super calm. He didn’t seem know sit for me (although it he does for other walkers) and seemed rather aloof during most of our walk, but when I pet him, I saw that he likes affection, and he offered kisses in return.

The next dogs were a pair that I walked with a partner… The female, A534600 - BOOTS (brindle dog), cohoused with a male, A767125 - MANCHAS-(white and tan). Both dogs were really high energy, but that relationship seemed to work for them, as they got along well in the kennel and on the walk. In fact, the other walker took Boots away from Manchas for a short amount of time and he was in a hurry to be back with his friend. Boots (surprisingly due to her energy level) is 6.5 years old and is quite the beauty! Manchas is 2 years old and very playful. He liked treats, but was too energetic to sit for them.

Update: Ballo (Hercules) got adopted!!

From yesterday… A448156 - BALLO (HERCULES) was my first pup of the day. He’s a senior dog, almost 9 years old. He’s been at PACC since October, when his family could no longer take care of him. He had another home after that, but it was short-lived and not the right fit for him. He’s such a sweet old boy. He was a great walker, a lover, knew sit and shake, and loved his treats. I was definitely a fan!!
