It’s been a long couple of weeks trying to get prepared for the 2023 fall Grand. We ended up taking 5 out of 8 dogs to the 4th series but a couple of them fell just short. We managed to bring home 3 passes and make two new Grand Champions!

Congratulations to Dr. Leland Davis and his dog, Revi, for picking up her first pass. Revi was trained by Bobby Wills and I handled her this week. Tajuana Childers Davis

We had a good weekend at Red Hills Retriever Club this weekend. The dogs ran well and ended up going 7-7 in Master.

Our young crew had a good weekend at Old Hatchie Hunting Retriever Club this weekend going 12-12 in finished. Thank you to all of the judges and club members that help make these tests happen. The weather was great and as always it’s fun to run with Deadfall Retrievers and Mike Harrison.

Devy and I found a 6-8 week old puppy dropped off about 1/2 mile from our house. He is very good natured and loving. He will have all of his shots and vet checked before he goes to his new home. We will raise him in our house and treat him like ours until we find him a good place to go.

I’m looking for someone to throw ducks 3-5 days a week. Right now, it’ll be 4-5 hours first thing in the morning. When it cools down, we can work around a class schedule a little better. If you know of someone, have them call me at 731-514-6052.

The hunt test crew has been busy the past couple weeks. We ran in Paducah, KY and this past weekend we ran the Old Hatchie HRC test in Tiplersville, MS. We were successful and passed 16-18 tests.
