The best part: they all had their own job during fetch!

Lotus was with us through the holidays this month and today we went to pick out our Christmas tree before returning her to her owners! She had a blast and it was so cute seeing her excitement on the farm!

Today was an extremely exciting day to say the least.
Such a handsome little pup, but fierce as a lion. Seems he has some stressful/fearful moments; he did not want to be touched unless it was some sweet rubbings. Despite the rough beginnings, after shaving off the mats he became more relaxed.

I was very honored to be chosen to care for this dog. It was very rewarding to see the change in his attitude!

Hopefully I’ll see you again sweet boy.

Here’s some important information regarding matting. It can be painful and it is important to pay attention to what is causing agitation in your pet:

“Matting” refers to densely tangled clumps of fur in a pet’s coat. If a coat is not properly and/or frequently brushed, loose and live hair become embedded in large masses. Sometimes mats can be combed out, but if left too long, it is impossible without seriously harming the animal.

Causes:
Matting is especially prevalent in long-hair dogs during seasonal shedding if the excessive hairs are not removed. Regular and frequent grooming—especially brushing—is absolutely necessary to not only prevent mats, but to keep your pet’s coat and skin healthy.

Dangers:
Severe matting can be extremely painful to your dog during brushing. Brushing only causes live hairs to be pulled out of the skin with excruciating pain. Even mild matting can cause your pet a great deal of pain.
Matting can cut off blood supply to extremities, and deny regular air circulation. Skin denied fresh air and stimulation from regular brushing becomes quite unhealthy. It can turn dark pink to red, and open sores are apt to form emitting foul odors. Even organic matter, like weeds and stickers, can become embedded in the skin. Matts have been known to contain stool of the pet and even fly larvae that further irritate the skin. Remember, sometimes these mats and their consequences can be completely hidden from view.

Lotus is the sweetest most loving puppers! Her heart is so big.
We got a nice flea bath, played fetch and went on a nice 2 mile walk. It was such a beautiful day outside and she enjoyed it to the max! Her burst of the zoomies was in full force! 🐕🏃🏻‍♀️

I’m so excited to being pet sitting these little kittens! They are just a joy to have around the house and so entertaining!

Meechy is very vocal and adventurous!✨
Jeffery on the other hand is a total cuddle bug!

The sweetest girl that I get the pleasure of walking this week! We went on a long adventure today down to the greenway water.

I even got to spend my birthday with her yesterday! We enjoyed some Starbucks treats!

Good Morning,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!

I believe introducions are in order:
Meet Mouse and Smore, two of the sweetest little cats. For 2 older cats, they sure age very well! You can’t even tell they are 9 years old!
After a day of talking and sniffs, Smore decided it was safe to come out of hiding and show her beautiful face!
Mouse on the other hand, seems like he’s never known the word bashful and I LOVE it. His little boops on the nose make my day! He watches and follows me everywhere and listens to my random rants!

I hope to see these two again. They have quickly become a couple of my favorite fur friends!
