Pickles came from a breeder so she hasn’t known the love of a family and she’s a little timid, but she’s very curious and open to people.

She’s already made progress with navigating steps in her foster home and walking on a leash, and she even wags her tail and loves to snuggle and sleep in the bed with her foster parents. 💞

Unfortunately, the old man passed on not long ago. I've wanted to wait a good deal of time to share this on Facebook, but he more than deserves to have his Puppy Spotlight posted again.

Beck was one of PupStride's first regular clients and I personally got very used to walking him throughout the week. He was sweet boy that made it very clear whenever he was excited to see you. Even when he reached the point of not being extremely mobile his tail would wag madly and you could see the excitement in his eyes when he was happy you were there.

One of my favorite memories with Beck is the first time I stayed with him and I bought him a brush. He had a little towel I would pull out for him and brush him on after a walk. He quickly became spoiled with it and would stare at the towel every single time we came back inside with big pitiful eyes.

Thank you to Beck and his mama for being a part of the PupStride family for so long. I hear the old man was a menace in his younger days, so I'm sure he's terrorizing some squirrels where he's at now.

If small puppies are your thing, one of these babies could use a home 🧡

Hart-2-Heart Rescue has saved a number of little dogs the past few months—18 to be exact: Kimmie and Jackson (mass breeder surrenders), Jackson (a Shih Tzu), Yorkies Bentley (11 yr. old) and Jackson (9 yr. old, and "Yes," our 3rd Jackson this year), Maxwell (a 14-week-old puppy who had already been in 3 homes) and Pekingese, Peanut, Skipper and Coco. All 9 of these sweet dogs were turned over to us by their owners.

We recently rescued from overcrowded shelters, Maltese mixes Fifi, Jammie and Joey and Shih Tzu mixes Miss E and Millie AND Yorkies Tricia, Cody, Casey and Kai who were confiscated from a hoarding home which contained close to 100 dogs.

Almost all these precious dogs require spays/neuters, bloodwork, teeth cleaning and lots of tooth extractions with more than half needing all of their teeth extracted due to advanced dental disease. Full mouth extractions are tedious and costly surgeries even with our discount, but are worth it because the dogs feel better immediately, plus it dramatically improves their health. Fifi still needs to have her cherry eye repaired (estimated $1200-$1400) after she recovers from her spay and full mouth extraction (spread out over 3 surgeries) which will mean 4 surgeries for her.

As the medical bills began to mount, one of our volunteers secured a grant commitment from her employer to match every dollar raised up to $7,500. Please help us meet this matching grant challenge.

With the continued support from Friends and adopters of Hart-2-Heart, we can save neglected little dogs like Fifi, Coco, Miss E, and Jammie and Joey and heal and prepare them for the next and best chapter of their lives.
