The first of the babies are here!
2 of our 5 baby Rankins arrived this morning and our whole family is over the moon 🌛
We are a family of reptile enthusiasts, and our mature bearded dragon Charlo has convinced us what amazing pets beardies are for families. However, after building him the massive enclosure his size deserved, we noticed why that type of care is so uncommon - Beardies are often people's first introduction to the reptile hobby, yet their size can present problems for optimal care and housing.
Rankin dragons are like the beardie's ✨ mini, even more social cousin ✨, but far more suited to the type of standard care (think 40 gallon tanks) that is often recommended by pet stores for beginner hobbyists.
We are convinced that these amazing lizards are the ideal pet, especially for people looking to get into the hobby, or simply for a sociable lizard that is great for families but also realistically fits the constraints of modern life.
However, while you can find plenty of beardies at any pet store near you, Rankin Dragons are far more difficult to find. Our goal is to nurture a diverse and healthy genetic line to help make these lizards easier and more practical for people to acquire!
