Say hello to Milo — a 4-year-old Siberian Husky with a heart of gold and a very dramatic pair of lungs! 💙
Milo came to Fetch Greenville this week because his breathing seemed off. X-rays showed a spontaneous pneumothorax — air leaking where it definitely shouldn’t be. Huskies can sometimes develop little lung air pockets called bullae, and a CT scan confirmed one of these sneaky bubbles was the culprit.
Before the CT, we placed a chest tube to help evacuate the air and monitor him and keep him comfortable. We hoped it would seal on its own, but his chest kept filling with air, so this brave boy went in for surgery!
The team found the trouble-making bulla and removed it. ✂️🫁✨ And in true Husky fashion, Milo woke up tail wagging and recovered like a champ.
He’s breathing beautifully without his chest tube, and ready to head home for rest, cuddles, and treats. 💪🐶💕 Way to go, Milo! 🎉
