Merchhhhh ✨✨✨ senior dog rescue version!
Just wanted to show everyone what a sweet boy our newbie is ❤️ I’m sure some don’t understand why in the world I’d take on a decrepit old dog that can barely walk and that I know I’ll end up spending way too much money on for him to just pass away soon.
Just watch his face in this video and see the appreciation behind his eyes. That’s why ❤️
Side note…I know I look exhausted. That’s because I AM 😆 that’s just the side effect of rescue. I also just stood in the rain for 30 minutes trying to get him out of my car 😬
Also, we named him Chester 🥰
If there is anything I regret about this one, it’s that I didn’t think to get a video of Chase in his kennel at the shelter before he knew freedom.
This boy was trembling and just so terrified. He wasn’t eating anything and had no room to walk around. Two of us got down and baby talked him enough to get him out and he continued to be leery of everything around.
Fast forward to less than 24 hours later, and this is what greeted me this morning ❤️ He ate every bite of his dinner and showers me with so many kisses that he knocks me over 😆 Chase is a whole different dog entirely now and I truly can’t think of anything in life more rewarding than this.
My advice to anyone struggling with life right now is to go save an old dog. You won’t regret it ❤️

When Oscar gets a new toy, the sound effects are legit 😆
Make sure volume is up 🐾
Today, Lexi learned that she loves to swim 💙
(The slight scream at the end is thanks to her pushing me into the deep end and proceeding to get my hair wet 😆)
Ernie lives for meal time ☺️
Little Kiki is settling in well 🥰
I’m really not sure how, but Duke is STILL waiting for his forever home 🥰
He’s a 14 year old JRT mix with a heart of gold. He also enjoys puzzles 😊

Pupdate! After MANY very good suggestions for a name, I’ve decided on Oscar ❤️ Once I found out that it meant “spear of the gods”, I was sold 🥰 Here’s a little snippet of our handsome boy…
Update on Mannie….
The dog that couldn’t lift his head off the floor yesterday, refused to eat a bite, and scooted away from me (all signs saying it’s time to let go), was able to not only get up, but run a little today!!
I’ve been around death enough, both human and animal, that I know there is often a rally before the passing. I know that sometimes false hope is given when they seem so much better….only to slip away again soon. But I’m ok with that, because today….he’s my Mannie boy again 💞
I feel like everyone needs to see Ginger run at least once in their lifetime 🥰
Mickey is back and he’s not too mad about it 😆 He does however, very much need his forever home!
