It all started with a little rescue dog sporting BIG ears and two creative sisters with a ginormous love of animals and the outdoors. Inspired by a desire to work together and build a family business, doing what we love, while making people and dogs happy, and most importantly LOOK and FEEL good...we decided to pool our talents and start Livy & Company. We always try to take the time to smell the

flowers and look for beauty in life. We also frequently find reasons to laugh and try to make other people laugh. Most importantly, we ALWAYS want our animal AND human friends to feel loved, appreciated and good about themselves. We want to spread joy and beauty as much as possible. We come from a big extended family and have a creative mother and two other beautiful sisters who are also amazing, talented dog lovers, and who one day we hope to suck into our business with us.

ALL ABOUT LIVY

When she first came to live with Michelle and her two other dogs, Stella May and Winston, she was a scrawny, scared little thing with these ears that seemed way too big for her head. Every one was always commenting on how beautiful Stella May was - a bodacious and extroverted golden retriever - but how scrawny and scared poor little Livy seemed. Natalie sent Michelle a red flower that she made for Livy's collar as a gift. The flower was a gesture of love and intended to give Livy a unique sense of style and personality and to welcome her into the family. This flower soon became Livy's trademark and everywhere Michelle took her, people commented about how cute she was and how much they loved the flower. The more people loved her and commented on her flower, the sweeter she became and the more her little personality blossomed. The flower became a "Livy trademark" and Michelle photographed her in all kinds of flowers and costumes for calendars, cards and used her in creative and marketing projects. Friends started asking for their own flowers and eventually,"What else do you have? Where can we buy them?"

And that was that. One tiny little red flower for Livy lit the fire of an idea that is now Livy & Company. Michelle and Natalie continue to create, test and add new products to their assortment that would make any dog feel stylish. They focus on combining their love of flowers and the outdoors with their passion for making a dog's tail wag because they feel so special and loved. They've even added people accessories and will continue to explore new options for expanding the product line to add more items for dog-lovin' people. Most of all, Michelle and Natalie hope you love your Livy & Company products just as much as they love making them for you. As a side note, every time Michelle leaves the house, she says to Livy, Stella May and Winston, "Be Good! I'll be back home soon!" Natalie and Michelle thought this seemed like a smart little mantra to share because it has an even bigger meaning if you think about it. Also, Livy now has a complete wardrobe of different blinged out collars and flowers in every color. Her current favorite is a yellow one with a bumble bee center.

“Gratitude” was the word of the year for 2024. My heart is filled with so much gratitude and love for all you amazing human and fur beings that give my life purpose and joy. Thank you for being perfectly you and for supporting this creative passion called Livy & Company.

You are the fuel that lights my fire. You are the “& Company.” I am in awe every day that I get to wake up and live this beautiful life with Jay, Olivia, Emmett and Ida, surrounded by all your bright lights that shine on us. I hope the new year blesses you with all the good things and I can’t wait to see you soon. ❤️

Olivia, Emmett, Ida and I would like to wish you and your family the merriest of magical Christmases. We hope that you feel loved and appreciated every day of the year, and that this message finds you safe and warm (or cool, depending on where you are). Our family has been particularly blessed this year with so many good things and you are top of that list. It’s your support that brings me, personally, the greatest joy. Because of you, I get to live my life filled with inspiration, creativity, passion and furry babies. Thank you for this amazing gift. Olivia, Emmett and Ida are grateful for a happy mother too! 🤗❤️

While our home is filled with warmth and joy today, we recognize that some of our friends and extended family might not feel as fortunate. Christmas can be a tough time of year for many, especially after your home or business has been destroyed by a hurricane, or you have had to say goodbye to a beloved human being or fur baby. We are thinking of all of you, and holding a space of healing and peace in our hearts for you today, and always. 🫶

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate community, friendship and Christmas, than with my friends Merry Market next Saturday! I hope you will come see me for Livy & Company’s last market of the year and do all your Christmas shopping with my friends. Your support helps us feed ourselves and our families, and best of all keeps your dollars in your community.

I’ll be bringing my holiday collars and accessories to help you celebrate the season, but will also be hauling a giant 50% off sale basket of inventory of things I made throughout the year, much of which was intended to sell at markets canceled or rescheduled due to Helene. Not to mention, I’m making space for things I want to work on for you in 2025.

I’ll also have some fun gifts with purchase to give away as a thank you for being amazing customers and friends.

After three years of planning, I’m finally ready to debut people headbands, as part of our new “Livy & Me” hand dyed series. 🤗 No one can accuse OCD me of making impulsive decisions, that’s for sure. 🤣🤣🤣Our headbands are slightly padded, just enough to give them texture and fit comfortably, but not too much that they feel cumbersome or heavy on your head. Mix and match headbands with flowers and attach them with our center-mounted Velcro strap, for a whimsical and eclectic look to match your pup’s collar. This is one of the new colors of dyes I got from @prochemicalanddye this week called, “Saffire.” I love how the ice-dying process splits the dye pigments into all these fun variations of the color. Another “How I Made This” demo. 🤗 Hot Pink and Bubblegum Ice Dyed Cotton Twill Fabric, folded, bound and then soaked in a Navy Procion Cold Water Natural Fiber Reactive Dye Bath. The results are always stunning, vibrant color. My hand dyed collars are color safe, will not bleed and can be machine washed on gentle cycle and air dried. 🌺🐝

Who’s coming to Bark in the Park this Sunday? We will be there some of the best local pet businesses!!! Gates open at 2 p.m. and game starts at 3:05 p.m. . Bark in the Park at The Greenville Drive Fluor Field at the West End is one our favorite events during the year. It’s powered by community leaders and our sweet friends Noble Dog Hotel. Fun to mingle, shop and watch the game. Fabulous way to socialize. We can’t wait to see you!

How we made it 🧐🤗 Introducing our new “Lemongrass” hand-dyed series. Isn’t it fun?!This colorway will be available on our website soon for you to order, or find them with us at upcoming events. I started with a piece of cotton fabric that I ice-dyed using yellows and oranges. WHAT'S OUR STORY? When we took them both out and about...everyone commented on how beautiful Stella May was - a bodacious and extroverted golden retriever - but how scrawny and scared poor little Livy seemed. Michelle’s sister, Natalie, sent Livy a red flower to attach to her collar. The flower was a gesture of love and intended to give Livy a unique sense of style and personality - a welcoming gift into the family.

The more people commented on her flower and oooood and ahhhhhhd over her, the calmer and friendlier she became. She blossomed and the flower became her trademark. :-) And that was that. One tiny little red flower lit the fire for Livy & Company. #OurFertilizerIsLove
