Here's the estimate for Andy after his last urine test. He has both protein and crystals in his urine😭😭 Hoping to get some info on places that can help out a little with this. They want to test for Cushings again due to his lab results. I love my sweet boy so much and it breaks my heart that my financial insecurity due to only my SSDI keeps me from doing whatever I have to do for him without help. I love my baby boy so damn much I just need to know what I can do to help him

Just wanted to update everyone on how Andy is doing. His gabapentin and carprofen are helping him. The gabapentin keeps him sleeping alot which he really needs because before the meds he was getting up and moving every 10-15 mins or so some nights more often than that. I'll take a sleepy boy over a pain filled boy any day. We increased his food intake to 1 cup in the am and 1 cup in the pm instead of 1.5 cups at night which has helped him from getting sick from his pain meds. He was even able to take a walk around the parking lot with me yesterday. It took us 1/2 an hour to walk 3 laps around our parking lot which is tiny but I'll take it. He just wanted to be outside in the fresh air which made me happy. I'll do anything I can for my sweet, sweet boy. We've cut back on his regular treats and started giving him fruit and veggies instead for his alerts. He weighed in at 105.5 lbs at the vets and can't exercise due to the pain so had to do something else to try to help him so lettuce, carrots, green beans, blueberries and strawberries are his new treats. I also picked up sweet potatoes today to slice and dehydrate for him along with his strawberries so I'll be doing that tmrw for him

Poor Andy is getting sick from his pain meds even with splitting his food to twice a day. But the gabapentin is definitely making him more comfy at night instead of moving from one end of the bed to the other every 10-15 mins he's moving about every 2 hours. On the upside he's been happy when sissy gets home from work. Calling the vet Sat to see if there is something we can try to help his stomach they're closed tmrw but open all weekend

I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile things have been hectic here with Andy & my health. I took Andy to the vet yesterday due to him being so uncomfortable and his hund right leg gave out Weds night. We thought it was due to the new tumor that popped up near his leg but that's not what is causing his pain. He has severe arthritis on top of the tumors. He was started on gabapentin and carprofan for pain. Plus a bleeding tumor on one ear and above one eye. Hoping and praying these meds help. Will definitely keep posting updates

It's been a long rough night. These steroids for his ear infections are doing a number on poor Andy. We couldn't even celebrate his Gotcha day because the steroids are causing him to vomit multiple times a day. I was finally getting ready to go to sleep around 1 am when I felt this wetness spreading across the foot of the bed. Poor baby was knocked out and pi**ed himself and my bed. Had to get up start laundry scrub my mattress and take a shower. No sleep for mom but I'm more concerned with his accident he slept thru it all. I woke him up and let him out and he still had more to go. The vet said to cut back on his water intake and continue taking him out more often and to cut back on his steroids to every 3 days instead of every other. Please keep my sweet boy in your thoughts and if I drank coffee I'd take an iv of it today.

Poor Andy is struggling right now. Ear infections in both ears. He's got ear drops and on steroids. Mom has been up all night doing laundry and scrubbing my mattress because he peed the bed while sleeping. Poor baby needs a bath and I've got to work all day

It's been a ruff week for our household. Andy had an issue with a neighbors dog Thursday night and has been anxious since but even going through what he has been he is still here for mom. Yesterday I passed out for about an hour and woke up to my sweet sweet boy laying next to me crying, pawing at me like he does for an alert and actually licking my face which we all know is rare for him to do for me. I truly believe he brought me to. Dr ruled out a 2nd stroke but after my eye injections today I'll be admitted to the hospital for more tests and hopefully some answers. I love my boy with all my heart and I don't know what I'd do without him💙 thank you Andy boy for always being my lifesaver even when you're not feeling your best. You always put mom 1st and Mom does the same for you and your sisters. You are the nest pup I could have ever asked for. Mom loves you so much

Poor Andy has been throwing up all night. I don't want to leave him to go to work but his sissy will be home with him to take care of him. He finally stopped panting (he's panting so hard he shakes the whole bed copd sucks) when I told him to say hi to his favorite ladies so I could send them a pic. Hate when my boy doesn't feel good. Love my special life saving boy so much. Chicken and rice for his dinner tonight to help settle his stomach💙💙

Andy is healing up nicely. But the poor boy is getting uncomfortable he needs ahaircut but I keep telling him we have to wait and everytime I tell him that he sighs and lays his head down. He's got such a rough (ruff) life. All he does is watch his favorite show all day while Kay & I are working. He's got his own Netflix and Hulu profile 🤣🤣

2 doeses of meds done 5 more days to go. He took most of his pills like a champ but he spits out 2 of them but he'll finally take them wrapped in cream cheese. But he'll take his probiotics out of my hand like a treat🩵 Saeran is constantly at his side either checking on him, licking his ears and head or sleeping as close as Andy will let him. He loves Andy so much since they day we brought him home he's cuddled up with him🩵🩵

Wow I posted on the Dogspotting Forun asking for ideas to help Andy take his meds and got suspended. No idea why. He won't take his meds wrapped in deli meat or cheese he spits it out and eats around it same thing with peanut butter so I'm at a loss only 1 of his meds can be brushed and the vet said not to sprinkle the capsules over his food due to them being time release. It's going to be a long week. Thankfully I got a few things to try before being suspended fingers crossed. Next week its just 4 pills twice a day and 5 pills on allergy med days. I love this boy so much but this is frustrating I can't take his pain away and he barely touched his food tonight even with thr broth topper. Hopefully he'll eat it overnight but he's not a fan of mushy or soft dog food. Going to pick up some cream cheese and strawberries and whipped cream after work tmrw and bring home some vanilla ice cream. But in the am I'm going to try wrapping it in canned cat food he's weird he won't eat canned dog food anymore but loves the canned cat food. I'm just at a loss

Just picked up 3 more meds for Andy's pain. He's doing so much better today but still in a lot of pain. But he was a very happy boy to see his friends at Charter Oak today. Was driving past and he cried and got excited so had to stop in to say hi and get lots of treats💙 I love how many people love my sweet sweet boy. Thank you all for loving him so much

Andy finally at at 3 am but momma had to hand feed him in bed. He slept from 730 am till he woke me up at 1 pm for a low blood sugar. He ate again about 130 and took all his meds. Momma has to work tmrw I took today off to be with him💙 so he'll be staying home with sissy. He loves all the facetime and phone calls he's been getting and I know he feelsall the love everyone has been sending
