This little guy, that nobody wanted is two runs shy of attaining his Jr Hunter title in his first four tries. Hope to get two more qualifying runs tomorrow.

Piper tried her hand at the Master Hunter title. She had trouble with steadiness. She wanted to chase the bird before being told to go get it. She might try again tomorrow or move down to the Sr. Level. If she does, she could be a Sr. Hunter (at 3) before the opening of Iowa’s pheasant season. Phin should have his Jr before his first pheasant season also

Happy 3rd Birthday to Bella’s first litter! I know it’s early yet, but I did not want anyone to think we had forgotten. Happy Birthday pups!

Just a short update on our Piper. She is currently “studying” for her Master Hunter exams which will start next month. We may enter her in a walking trial this fall too. She will also venture back to the show ring next Spring.

These boys love to run! They had a great time outside chasing Momma Bella & their big sister Piper (from our 2020 litter!) Kris Kringle💚 was the go getter of the group, with Dasher🧡 always close behind, while Cupid💛 was a little more reserved.

Puppy socialisation is NOT just about playing with other dogs.

In fact, too much uncontrolled exposure to other dogs can cause so many unintended consequences.

If you have a puppy, make sure you try to work on ALL aspects of socialisation, as listed in the bottom graphic.
