🥧 I shared this tip awhile back, but honestly it’s worth sharing again. I used my CRUST DUST trick that I learned from King Arthur Flour for my peach slab pie, and once again—-no sogginess at all, even after 4 days. Fruit pies can sometimes get a little soggy during/after baking. If you mix up a 1:1 ratio of flour and sugar and sprinkle a thin layer over the bottom pie crust the crust dust will create a barrier as the pie bakes, keeping the crust perfectly baked and not soggy.

Once baked you wouldn’t even know it’s there. I also bake my pies on a pizza stone to really get a good bake on the bottom crust, especially for slab pies with a large surface area. I bake my slab pies at 400 degrees for 30 minutes then tent with foil and bake an additional 20-25 minutes. Perfect every time! 🥧

The pie in the photo is my peach slab pie. I’ll share my others too. Each pie yields 18-24 slices.
