Decorating for Christmas at the shop

My daughter Isabelle is a budding artist and has some paintings she has done on the walls at my shop available for purchase. These are the 3 currently available. Tree is 10x16 and the other 2 are 8x10.

If any dog is over 20 minutes late you will need to reschedule as my schedule is too full anymore to have late dogs throwing it off. I am having too many issues with late dogs and no shows lately

This big boy and baby girl came in for spring cleanup today. He is such a gentle giant and the little girl has the best manners for a 4 month old pup. Oso is the big boy and Nairobi the baby girl.

Yesterday was grooming day for our show pup, Juno. She is 8 months into growing out her coat for showing. This is a specific type of grooming, but it shows that we have diversity here at Klassic K-9 for different breeds of dogs.

Hi everyone! Meet Zeke. Zeke is a terrier.

When his owner brought him in this morning, he had a very blown coat and had never been stripped. She didn’t know what he needed, but that he was shedding extremely bad.

Most terriers are not dogs that should be clipped. It does not control their shedding and it ruins their natural coat. A terrier coat should be wirey and layered.

Now, Zeke’s coat is shedding so bad and blown because he is in dire need of regular stripping. Not just for the hair to not shed profusely, but also because a terriers coat is stripped to create layers and allow the hair follicles to work and grow hair properly. Terriers can get skin issues just due to not being stripped.

These are after pictures of Zeke. If his owner follows up with me every 6 weeks, I will continue to post pictures as his coat progresses. I did give the owner tips and ways to do the stripping at home to be more cost effective.

Right now his coat still looks unruly and discolored. That will change with regular stripping. His coat will turn a rich gold and have a wonderful, water shedding texture. A terrier whose coat is kept stripped and in shape usually requires less bathing due to smells as well.

Just a few more days until Christmas. Merry Christmas to everyone. Praying you all have a safe and family filled time.

I will be doing the drawing for Christmas Gifts on Friday Morning, the 23rd.

I will be close for the week between Christmas and New Years. I will be out of town, but I will have my schedule book with me for anyone needing appointments right away in the new year.

Only a short while until Christmas. Make sure you Cuddle Buddy is Christmas Clean. I still have appointments between now and Christmas. Drawing for Christmas gifts is still going on to be drawn on the morning of the 23rd. Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas is right around the corner. We will be doing a door prize drawing for all dogs that have appointments between Thanksgiving and Christmas and on the 23rd of December I will draw. There will be a gift basket of goodies and a few gift certificate prizes for grooming and nails.

Our new pup, Cameo, is learning to be a shop dog and getting socialized to new people and dogs.

In a couple weeks our current litter of cockers will come in for a few shop days.

Dolly is getting an oatmeal soothing massage. Getting a post puppy bath makes for happy mommas. Her pups are weaned and gone to new homes. Now to make momma feel great.
