We are a home - based extra small business. We wanted healthy treats for our laying pullets/chickens

** We can meet-up in Gwinn, Marquette, Ishpeming & surrounding areas! **

* Storing your Mealworms *
You can store your mealworms in the refrigerator (at 45-50 degrees F). The cooler temperatures will delay the process of metamorphosis.( We will provide you with a container that has holes in the lid for air) This stops them from continuing their life cycle and turning into pupae and beetles. They

will keep in the refrigerator from 4-6 weeks. * Once every one to two weeks the mealworms should be removed from the refrigerator for 24 hours and given a moisture source. Easy options include sliced carrots, sliced apples, or lettuce. * My preference is sliced carrots because they're simple, they love them, and hold up well. *

Don't forget! After two weeks, your mealworms should be removed from the refrigerator, and stay at room temperature for about 24 hours. Let them become active. Once they become active, give them some clean sliced carrots, or potatoes for a water source. Let them "eat" up. Then you can put them back in the refrigerator. 🙂
