We provide a loving, lifelong home to over 100 rescued animals and grow open-pollinated plants and flowers on 12 acres of farmland along coastal Highway 1. Through animal rescue and hands-on agricultural programs, we provide positive experiences, knowledge, and simple steps people can take to be part of the solution to end inhumane practices associated with factory farming. We rescue and rehabilit
ate farm animals who come from various circumstances. These animals act as ambassadors to spread the message that they are unique, caring creatures who deserve our compassion and respect. We develop educational programs and content to increase awareness around issues related to animal welfare, factory farming, and sustainability. These initiatives take many forms including monthly events April – October, tours, volunteer days, and community outreach. Sweet Farm offers hands-on agriculture-based programs to provoke meaningful experiences that inspire people to bring greater compassion to the ways they source, prepare, and eat food. Celebrating biodiversity, we grow heirloom, open-pollinated seeds and rely on sustainable methods. Central to Sweet Farm's mission is to empower people with the knowledge needed to take simple steps to lead a more humane lifestyle and create a better world for farm animals. In addition to its focus on animal welfare, Sweet Farm is devoted to developing agricultural based education programs. Through these programs we teach the public about the impact of factory farming on plants, specifically the loss of the bio-diversity that is threatening our food system.
