This post is a bit late, but we are honored to welcome Ms. Melina Nammur as one of our summer interns at Good Hope! Melina is a bright, passionate, and hardworking young woman, beautiful inside and out, currently completing her animal science degree at the University of Florida. She competes on the UofF IHSA equestrian team and was selected last spring by the university faculty to train Ariel, a promising two-year-old for the university’s program and auction. Her natural connection with horses is truly remarkable, and we are excited to see her future equestrian goals come to fruition. We have immense love and respect for Melina, having watched her grow up in South Florida, and it is a privilege to now witness her professional growth in the equestrian field. 🐊

This expansion will enable Good Hope to offer more nutritious, organic fruits, and vegetables to families in need. These outstanding young individuals from Pace Academy have completed a 24-hour course on Regenerative Agriculture, Climate Resilience, and Principles of Organic Farming. They were guided by the remarkable Mrs. Mary Anne Hausch, the Healthy Habits project manager.

The countdown to Giving Tuesday has officially begun! Starting tomorrow, a 24-hour online fundraising drive will kick off, empowering individuals like you to champion causes close to their hearts. Since its establishment in 2012, Giving Tuesday has harnessed the power of radical generosity, inspiring millions to give, collaborate, and celebrate the impact they can make.

Every contribution made on Giving Tuesday will directly support our on-site initiatives, such as “Healthy Habits,” which provides organically grown produce to low-income families and promotes regenerative farming practices for environmental well-being. Additionally, “Endless Strides” opens doors for individuals with various health conditions and disabilities to engage with horses as therapeutic partners. These equine-assisted activities have shown effectiveness in improving muscle tone, balance, posture, coordination, motor skills, and self-esteem.

Our commitment extends to advancing equity and inclusion across diverse physical, intellectual, and socio-economic characteristics. We sincerely value your support and belief in our mission, where the hope of healing the soul and soil come together!

Our 2023 Derby Day was truly exceptional, thanks to the outstanding efforts of our co-chairs, Mr. Walt, and Mrs. Natalie Lotspeich, the Run for the Roses Planning Committee, event volunteers, and our generous sponsors.

Good Hope Equestrian & Regenerative Farm, Inc.
proudly hosted the first annual Run for the Roses fundraising event on
Saturday, May 6th, 2023, at the esteemed Halifax Country Club. We extend our deepest gratitude to the following sponsors whose support and generosity ensured the success of this event: Mr. Kraig and Deborah Kirschner, Eddie Austin Timber & Land, Mr. Gordon and Paula Edmunds Edington, Hitachi Energy, Mr. Jerry Epps, Hughes Center, Mr. Bob and Sue Tysinger, American National Bank, Designerfox, and Long & Foster Realty.

Attendees reveled in a day filled with joy and excitement, engaging in horse race betting while watching the exhilarating Kentucky Derby races on jumbo screen televisions provided by Fincher’s Inc. The event encompassed thrilling contests, valuable prizes, delightful music by Matt Boswell, delectable catering from Four Oaks restaurant, and a gracious open bar provided by Mr. Bob and Mrs. Sue Tysinger and Mr. Jerry Epps.

All the funds raised from this inaugural event will be directly channeled to support our onsite programs, notably the Endless Strides equine-assisted scholarships that benefit children, youth, and adults in need of therapeutic services, as well as the Healthy Habits initiative, which ensures access to organically grown produce for low-income families.

We extend heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated members of the Run for the Roses Planning Committee, including Walt and Natalie Lotspeich, Sharon Jones, Mary Ann Hausch, Charlene Miles, John Gibbs, and Mr. Bob Tysinger, whose unwavering commitment contributed to the success of this event.

Please save the date for Saturday, May 4th, 2024, as we eagerly anticipate the 150th Kentucky Derby, renowned as the "Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports." Join us once again for another remarkable experience.
