Please feel free to use this illustration anywhere you see fit — and since I’m POSITIVE this will be suppressed, please feel free to share on your own pages (just credit me, please!) — as you join me and millions of other Americans/our friends abroad in deleting/deactivating/logging out of all metaverse platforms at *least* between 1/19- 1/26 in response to Zuckerberg’s [tantrum] roll in the which will effectively impinge upon the rights of 170 MILLION Americans starting the 19th.

Let Zuck, Meta ( /our other corporate overlords), and all of our panicked government “representatives” that they have failed the American people, and they have catastrophically misjudged us. We are not apathetic, we are not indifferent, and we will not go quietly! 💪🏻

I am on RedNote/ Xiaohongshu under “Aloe Artwork” and will be sharing procreate videos there for the time being. — they are LOVELY over there! — If/when I find a suitable replacement for IG and FB, I will be sure to update here with where else you can find my work!

As such, I’m not deleting my whole account just yet; but I will be logged out, and am absolutely keen for suggestions on where other artists are bringing their business! … especially if it is NOT Etsy, who have elected to allow AI artwork to be sold as if it was in any way “handmade” — pop a note in the comments if you’ve found somewhere you love. 💕

The Hoia - Baciu forest in Romania was a clear choice here, with its unexplained twisty trees, it’s dark folklore, and the sheer number of people who have disappeared in these woods. GORGEOUS, but I’m not sure I would risk it.

Would you visit this forest knowing you may well not return? 💀

I learned some things on this one!
1. The original sirens were a Greek myth involving women/bird hybrids who would lure sailors to their deaths.
2. The prettiest native Greek bird is called the Bee Eater
3. Nike and Venus look pretty good as bird hybrids 😆

Day 7: ALIEN

It’s hard for me to pick a single alien, even from a single series among my fandoms —and I did seriously consider sharing my Ziggy Stardust portrait again here!— but Madam Vastra is among the best of the best. Together with her wife Jenny, and a retired Sontaran nurse named Strax (the potato one) Vastra helps solve mysteries and save the world along side several iterations of The Doctor.

This piece is 12x12 oil pastel on card stock and is available as an original, or prints.
