The webinar will explore how to get started, the training options, and what these dogs and handlers need to stay sharp over the long haul.

The webinar will offer a unique perspective on the use of specially trained canines for water leak detection.

The handlers of two dogs will present on how the dogs uniquely improve water leak detection by:

Precisely sniffing out water leaks
Quickly inspecting large areas
Minimizing the need to disturb the environment
Going where humans can't
Reducing cost
Our speakers include Sean Griffin, the handler of Davidson Water’s water leak detection dog, Puddles; Zach Lohr, the handler of Del-Co Water’s water leak detection dog, Keena; and Elisa Jones, a trainer with K9 Water Leak Detection University. In addition to her pioneering work to create a training curriculum for water leak detection, Jones has more than 25 years of experience in water and wastewater and holds an Ohio Class 3 Water and Wastewater Operator License.

In addition, the handler of Vessel, the first water leak detection dog in the United States, will be available for the Q&A session at the conclusion of the presentations. Vessel serves Central Arkansas Water.

ARWO thanks CoBank for its sponsorship of this webinar.

Join us Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 1 to 2 p.m. ET for this complimentary webinar. Register now.

Walnut Grove K9s along with a small group of other Water Leak Detection trainers and handlers traveled to Nashville TN. We had the pleasure of sharing our knowledge of dogs that find treated water leaks to the United Southen and Eastern Tribes at their Best Practices Conference - The Braided Path. The days were filled with Wisdom, Collaboration, Innovation and Community. We were truly blessed, inspired and enlightened by this experience.

Dan and Shadow completed our H.O.T. Dog program in 2023 and have been actively finding water leaks in up state New York. Shadow’s training began when he was just 10 weeks old. I believe they are going to have a long career of finding water leaks.
Walnut Grove K9s is actively accepting dogs into the Water Leak Detection HOT Dog program. DM us for more information.
