With winter coming, we really needed help rebuilding our goats' house. Team Depot rolled up their sleeves and went to work. Thanks to their efforts, our goats have a safe, sturdy home and we could not have done it without you.

A HUGE THANK YOU to The Home Depot Foundation, Fuentes, Customer Experience Manager, Home Depot Elgin and the amazing Team Depot for your incredible work in rebuilding the house for our goats.

We are taking pumpkins 🎃 until November 24th .. you don't need to contact me ,unless you want to..lol ..you'll see where to drop them off when you pull in to the driveway..Thank you 😏

It's trick or treat time!!! Pumpkins are a very healthy and favorite treat for everyone at the rescue. We are now accepting pumpkin donations. Pumpkins can be carved or non-carved but not painted or with decorations or wax inside. Feel free to leave your pumpkins at the south entrance by the tree with the pumpkin painted on it. We along with our goats, pigs, emus, chickens & deer thank you! 🎃

*edit* -- It's been a long week filled with splinters, wood and hammering. The new house is ALMOST finished for our new Emu family. Still need to build the upper sides and the wall to block the wind, then it will be ready.

Papa, Mama & their three chicks will be joining the rescue very soon. 🐾

My name is Zeke. I first arrived at the shelter back in 2017, and have been back and forth ever since. Over the years I’ve had multiple families adopt me, then return me to no fault of my own. I thought I found my furever home a few months ago, but here I am again back at the shelter. To make a long story short, it was not a good fit for me.
I am tired. I am not happy about being back at the shelter. I want someone to commit to me! Please don’t make me wait here any longer. I deserve a home that will give me time, love and patience as I settle into a new environment once again. Here are some facts to get to know me:

❤️ 9 years old, 55lbs
❤️ Knows sit, shake, lay down (very smart!)
❤️ Good with other dogs and older kids
❤️ Loves rope toys and going for walks
❤️ Potty trained but would benefit from a home where he can be taken out frequently (old bladders aren’t what they used to be!)
❤️ Moderate/occasionally high energy
