Riley we are going to miss you like crazy, but we wish you luck on your new big adventures in New York! Riley has ridden with us for at least 9 years and has really grown up around us, so this change has been heartbreaking. But I'm so happy Gatsby is staying with us.

I know they all say "don't become friends with your clients" but Riley has been a great friend through the years.

And honestly this is an extra sad time because Riley really was the last of the 'OG' younger girl group that rode with us. Kaylin, Madison, Chelsea, Riley, and Jill. They've all gone off to school or moved away to other states. My barn girls who were always there. I always thought of you guys like my little sisters, my kids, my students, and most of all my friends. I couldn't help but feel extra sad saying good bye to Riley thinking of all of you guys. And I want all of you to know how proud we are of all 5 of you. Luckily Chelsea is home from school here and there and Riley will be home sometimes.

Mallory we are going to miss you so much and wish you all the best on your new adventures in Texas.

Rox and I have absolutely loved having you with us, and have enjoyed watching you and your mare progress in leaps and bounds over the past year. The team won't be the same without you. But I think you know that. 😊. Thank you for trusting us with your girl while you get settled there.

Halloween fun ride last Saturday was a blast! 👻🎃☠️🧡🧟

I know we were missing a couple people, but thanks everyone who came out!

Congratulations to our group of riders at Oak Lawn Farm last weekend! Everyone did a great job, the horses were perfect, and I couldn't ask for a better group of people. Everyone pitched in and did their part.

Some notable placings-

Mallory Huber and Chic Come A Runnin were 1st in the hunter derby, which was out on the grass field. They were also reserve champion in both 2'3 divisions.

Elsie Hund and my pony Google It were 2nd in the derby!

Charlotte Gershman and Riley Olsen's Pep Talk were champion in both the beginner rider 2' and the open hunter 2'3, and were 3rd in the derby. Charlotte also won the mini tack trunk!!

Natalya Mrizek and Anne McLean's Lucera were champion in both cross rails divisions.

Kynlee Ronning and my horse Timeless Facts did a great job and were second in one of the cross rails o/f!

Rhiannon Urbanowski and Ashley Ratay's Cowboy Caviar were reserve champ in the open cross rails

Sara Lesko and my Timeless Facts were 5th in the hunter derby, and had many great rounds and ribbons in the 2'!

Elise Troyner and Anne McLean's Lucera were reserve champ in the open hunter 2'.

Thank you Oak Lawn Farm for hosting such a well run and positive schooling show! It was so fun being back at the old Dunham Woods.

Horse show results from Spring Spectacular III last week!

It was a little warm, 🤣, but the horses were great and everyone rode really well. 🌞

✈️Anne McLean and La Tatabra Cessna were 2nd in their jumper classic, 4th in the 2'6 hunter derby, and had many clear rounds and ribbons in the jumper ring!

🦄Chelsea Santos and FOMO were champion in the 2'9 modified hunter, champion in the low adult hunter (winning all 4 o/f!), and 2nd in the 2'6 hunter derby.

🩵Charlotte Gershman rode better than ever on Riley Olsen's Pep Talk, earning a reserve champion in the USHJA 2' and 2nd in the 2' hunter derby.

✨Riley Olsen joined us for one day at the show and rode her horse Pep Talk to a 2nd place in the .65 jumper classic, and got 3 2nds in the novice child/adult hunter.

🎉Alina Kirkpatrick was 3rd in both her adult eq flat and USHJA 2'6 u/s on Riley Olsen's Pep Talk. Thanks Riley for sharing Gatsby with Alina so she could get some ring time!

Great job everybody! On to next week

🎉Congratulations to all of our riders last week at Spring Spec! The horses were great, we had perfect weather (minus the pouring rain during the derbies), and we all had FUN. 🎉

👑Anne McLean and Lucera were 1st in the 2' Derby, champ in the 2' adult eq, and received great ribbons in the ushja 2'!

🏆 Chelsea Santos and FOMO were reserve champ in the low adult hunter, reserve champ in the 2'6 adult eq, and 2nd in the 2'6 Derby 😁

⭐Mallory Huber and Chic Come A Runnin were champ in the .65 jumpers, 2nd in the .65 jumper classic, 5th in the puddle jumper classic and 11th in the 2'6 Derby! Mallory also made her equitation debut and had great rounds. Anne McLean also had some great rounds on Noel!

🥇Natalya Mrizek came to her first show ever and won the short/long stirrup w/t/c eq! So proud!! Thank you Anne McLean for allowing her ride Lucy!

Can't wait for next week!
