"TIGGER"
Abandoned by his irresponsible owners & left outside to fend for himself, Tigger is a real sweetheart! Found by a good Samaritan & being fostered at the moment, Tigger is safe, but needs immediate adoption. This good hearted foster cannot keep Tigger much longer!

This beautiful orange tabby just wants love & you can tell by his face that he is all about getting attention!

Tigger is about 3-4 years old, he is now fully vetted & ready to go!

We want to say a HUGE thank you to Kathy & Carol for TWO more 7 level Karunda cat trees!!! Woo hoo! Now we have a total of 8 donated trees out of our 10 on our wish list!

These trees are so great for the FURR rescue cats and also for the FURR feral cats! The trees are so durable, strong & great for the cats to climb on. Not only that, they are vinyl & easy to keep clean.

We have also received 3 out of the 10 Karunda cat beds on our wish list. We need about 7 more although these one-level vinyl beds can go anywhere in the rescue! There is really no limit to how many we could use, but we've started out wishing for 10!

Thank you again Kathy & Carol!!! The kitties are happy!🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛🐈

We have received 6 out of 10 wish list for 7 level tower Kuranda towers. Still need FOUR more, but so grateful for the 6 we got!

Also, grateful for the 3 Kuranda beds received so far out of the 10 on our wish list, so still need SEVEN more!

UPDATE ON "TUX" FERAL CAT TRAPPED NEAR FURR SANCTUARY...

TUX is doing well in his large holding pen at the sanctuary. This poor cat is skin & bones, but for a week now he is eating & drinking everything i put in front of him! He must have been starving.

TUX has been easy to care for & although he is scared & timid, I have been able to pet & stroke him without incident.

This is good & bad! I am completely full at FURR, but i know if I release TUX into the sanctuary, I won't be able to work with him every day.

He really seems like he wants love & he is a young cat around 2 -4 years old.

F.U.R.R (Feline Urgent Resuce and Rehab) located in Hampstead, NC (Wilmington area)

Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab is a nonprofit organization located in Hampstead, NC (just outside of Wilmington) that was founded in order to expand the efforts and awareness of rescue efforts for homeless and feral cats. These cats are fully vetted, tamed and placed in carefully screened forever homes. We began in the south Charlotte area, and have just recently moved to Hampstead (Wilmington area) the number of homeless, injured and/or feral cats is growing. It is an ongoing problem where public awareness, education, funding and a group effort is desperately needed.

Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab (F.U.R.R.) has been formed to help trap and spay/neuter in feral colonies. These cats will have to be released back into a controlled environment if there are not funds and/or facilities available to work with taming these cats. If the cats are young, they are always kept and tamed, vetted and placed in forever homes. If space and funds allow, older feral cats are tamed, rehabilitated, vetted and also adopted out.

F.U.R.R. also works with the public to help with feline education. F.U.R.R. takes many calls a day to assist and consult with clients with problem cats, injured cats or other questions regarding no only pet cats, but feral cats living in and around populated areas. F.U.R.R. can assist in trapping injured and feral cats and can help transport and recover cats when needed.

F.U.R.R. has a new web site that is extremely informative. Not only are our tamed adoptable cats on the web site, but also some of our rescue stories along with other educational information that may be helpful to cat lovers.
