If you happen to live around the area, her adopted mom also happens to be a certified hair ARTIST. Her shop is Moss and Mane, located inside Sola Salons in the Jefferson Commons shopping center. Teddy here is an extra anxious boy. When he first came to me, he & his mom had been through several groomers who declined future services for Teddy. They weren’t totally unjustified; Teddy’s anxiety tends to manifest as fear aggression.
Fast forward to today, you’d never guess Teddy ever had any troubles. With some patience and his mom’s cooperation, I’ve slowly been able to build trust with him and show him that grooming doesn’t have to be a scary fight for your life. He’s even been able to allow another stylist here successfully groom him, something that wouldn’t have been possible 2 years ago.
Today we are celebrating all the success stories like Teddy’s! Every dog deserves to enjoy a peaceful & pleasant grooming experience, and we’re always thrilled to be able to provide that. Especially with pups that have never been able to experience it before because of fear/behavior. ❤️

If you loved February’s trio (Max, Mia, Elly) you’re in for a treat!
These Cosmic Kiddos are Max & Elly’s little ones 🥰 They are a little over 3 months old and were all able to get full haircuts! Typically at this age puppies are still far too rambunctious & fearful to safely be trimmed all over, but these guys were like old pros! Must be taking grooming lessons from mom & dad 😍💕

Figured it was time for introductions! My name is Ariel, I am a groomer & the owner of The Cosmic Canine salon. I have been grooming for nearly 10 years, working with all breeds, styles & temperaments. I recently left a local big box COrporate PET store salon to pursue my dream of creating something better aligned with my personal values.
My dream is a grooming salon where safety & compassion are paramount. Where you can drop your best friend off & rest easy that they will return to you looking & feeling their absolute best. I believe in chemical free skin & coat care, as well as the importance of having an understanding of canine behavior & physiology in my field.

Max, Mia & Elly are all owned by .simons_718 and her family. Not only have I groomed the 3 of them consistently, but also the family’s previous dog who has since crossed the rainbow bridge. (R.I.P. Rex💕) They might be my most long term clients to date, and certainly among the most special in my heart 💜
