Check out our Wednesday Night Group Crushing the Sit Stay for graduation practice last evening! These pups are going to be rocking for graduation and will be tons of fun. Looking forward to next week 🐾
My boy Brutus got himself a nice Lowe's outing this afternoon for the first time in a while, & we both had a bunch of fun! In new environments or environments not visited often, I will always use a lot of rewards, even going as far as withholding breakfast & using it during our outing to ensure high motivation. He was the best boy today & even got some free treats from the workers!

Check out Koda's long down & recall that we've mastered during our last 3 weeks. He has been a pleasure & is going home tomorrow afternoon! I'm excited to be able to show his owners all he has learned & how they can keep up with everything 🐾
Check out Koda's progress in the last 17 days. Today we are focused on generalizing obedience commands with a different handler. Since I do most of the reps daily and run mostly a one man show, I make sure to have any dog in a b&t handled by a few others & run through the stuff they know. He did great & I'm super happy with where he is at so far. This week we will focus on this & any weaknesses in the training. We also will be going out in public quite a bit to practice.
Thanks Julie from Sit Happens K-9 Academy LLC for coming down & helping us out again today!!
Just a quick video of my boy Koda crushing his recall tonight! I love the way he does everything with pizazz. We still have a ways to go but the progress has been excellent!
My next available board & train is currently July, thank you all for the support 🐾
Just a little over a half year without our buddy Trey. I truly can't believe how fast time moves. This was the last video I have of us playing together a little under 2 weeks before his passing. He fought until the very end and we enjoyed every possible minute together. We miss him every day and will never forget the joy he brought to everyone's life. Do not forget the most important thing, enjoy your dogs!!! ❤️
This is my boy Dexter doing his favorite thing, spring pole! This isn't for every dog, but it is a great outlet for high energy dogs where just a walk isn't quite cutting it. And no, it's not making him more aggresive, it's actually satisfying to him & biologically fulfilling. Note it is very important to have a very solid obedience foundation with it, as I mix in obedience and have ultimate control over the reward, which is access to this toy. In the future I will be posting & talking more about topics like this as I feel it can help people with dogs like Dexter! Shout out to my friends at Loose Leash Canine for introducing me to this type of stuff, grateful to always be open to learning from others.

Just a raw & uncut video of one of my favorite girls Ally practicing a long down & off leash recall in public with her fabulous owner Gary. She has been home from her 4 week board & train for just about 2 1/2 months & hasn't lost a step. It makes me so happy to get updates and see the dog + owners thriving with their training.
The big takeaway is you see Ally was about to get up, but Gary verbally interrupted with good timing and she reset. The goal in obedience is for our dog to listen to our verbal alone and not have to use our leash for everything, but all of that foundation started with the simple basics using the leash. Lots of reps & lots of work from both myself & dedication on the owners side. Love to see it! 🐾
Just wanted to share this awesome little video! Finnegan being walked by his big sister! This one really made my day yesterday when I saw it. If you can recall, Finnegan came to me at 5 months old as a super unruly pup. The young lady walking him in this video today was initially scared of dogs, & wanted no part of the crazy puppy version of Finnegan. Now look at them!! Love to see it

Ziggy came to me a few months ago extremely nervous and sensitive to sounds. He would even freeze up when my heater would begin running in the barn. Not to mention in general was just not comfortable in the new environment upon arriving, and very unsure about a plethora of things. We worked on some obedience, but the main focus here was positive associations & confidence. It made me so happy during our 4th session we got him to finally go up and down the mini a frame, be comfortable being handled by me (we kept it fun!), & also was able to still do tasks presented to him with the heater running. His family & I decided to continue doing more sessions, focusing on continuing the upward trend in confidence building and also getting some more obedience in as well. Great work to everyone involved. 🐾
