I Was given one of my dream animals today. I'm so stoked to share him with you! As soon as I get him out this fake log... 😂

(Please know I am aware this enclosure is not ok. This is what he came in and he will be getting an update tomorrow with plants and hides. I'm leaving him rest tonight as he just took a 3.5 hour car ride.)

If anyone went to the carlisle reptile expo today and got animals from Beth's Critters, BEWARE!!!
We purchased guinea pigs for a client today and the animals we got are very sick. (This was not immediately obvious at the event and all issues were noticed during their initial intake inspection. )
I will be rehabbing them (if possible) before they are placed for adoption.
One has a mass on her throat, all have some type of infection, ( my guess is respiratory) hairloss and scabbing flaky skin on their bellies. Calling for vet appointment monday.
Do not purchase from this person.

Hera got an upgrade to her hospital tank today. Since she's all scabbed over she can have substrate and some climbing stuff again. She is eating small rats again!! She is healing very well and almost ready to go to her new dad! She is in blue now so we will see if this she'd opens up the wounds again or if she's fully healed. If she's healed up she will be good to go!

Ginger is my absolute sweetest mama she gives little kisses every time you hold her even with pups under her. However she apparently thinks Cookie is not a good enough mom because she tries to steal them from her daily. Second pic of her trying to steal the pups WHILE cookie is nursing 🤦‍♀️😆

At Mythos Exotic Animals, we do things a little differently. We believe in the humane treatment of all animals. Our reptiles and rodents are given enclosures larger and better ventilated than the breeding industry norm. Feeder rodents are given proper enrichment up until they are humanely euthanized and frozen for purchase. (Live feeders available upon request) We believe that all animals have value even the ones we mean to feed to other animals so it is important to give them the best life possible while they are in our care. Our adult breeder rats are even retired at a decent age and allowed to live the remainder of their lives in luxury as pets rather than being fed to larger animals.

- Fancy rats (standard coat and rex coat, multiple unique colors and standard colors for pets and some feeder rats as well. Pricing varies upon rarity of genetic traits for pets. Feeder price varies by quantity and size needed. Contact for pricing and availability.

- Currently we have no Ball Pythons available but will be implementing our breeding program by January 2024 with the goal of adding Bearded Dragons by 2025.
