I was driving home on Thursday 1/7/21 back to DC from my mom’s in NJ when my rental car was stolen with my beloved cat Willow inside. She was in the front seat in her carrier. Here’s a picture of it with her, the car, and where she was stolen. Jeep Cherokee, plate (Illinois) Police are on it but I’m beside myself. It has remote keys which are still with me, so they can’t turn off the car or lock it. Thank you all, please send all the thoughts, prayers, energy, etc my way. Call to Action: hi everyone, I am exhausted but not giving up on Willow. It’s been suggested to me that if multiple people reach out to local news outlets we might be able to get some more traction. Stations to try are NJ.com News 12 New Jersey, Newark, NJ Patch, Patch New Jersey, Channel 4, and Channel 7. My hope is that if someone finds Willow they will recognize her, and if the thieves still have her they will anonymously turn her in. If you know of anyone in the area I could use some extra help with flyering the area too (posters in comments). I put up a bunch around the Speedway and neighboring streets.
