🐾UPDATE - She has found a new home. Thank you for everyone who reached out and shared. I am so happy with the family that she went to I know she went to an amazing home! 🐾

I had a puppy from my last litter come back to me after no longer getting along with another dog in her home. After getting her back and evaluating her it seems she was in heat when the behavior started so that largely contributed to the issues. She has responded well to training and is not reactive to other dogs. However with the issues that she has had she would do best in a home with no other dogs. She doesn’t have any experience with children, or other animals that I know of. She doesn’t mind cows or chickens but I haven’t taken her around anything else. I would keep her but she seems to be dominate and her and her mom wouldn’t get along in the long run, so I am looking for a home for her.

She is the sweetest most loving dog and just wants to be loved. She would love to be a couch potato and someone’s beloved pet.

Please message me privately if you would be interested. Homes will be vetted before she goes anywhere I just want to make sure she goes to a good home. ❤️

I will also try to get better pictures but she is so happy that it’s hard to get any when she is standing still!

Happy 1st birthday to Koe! 🎉🐾

He has grown so much this past year… he is playful, loving, and still very much a puppy 🤣 with everything that has happened this year I haven’t gotten to do as much with him as I would have liked, such as showing etc. but that doesn’t mean we still can’t in the future!

P.s. Happy birthday to my Mom and my Grama that’s in heaven, Koe shares a birthday with some amazing women. Koe definitely loves his Grammy (my mom) and having the same birthday definitely helped her love him when I brought him home 😂❤️

❗️Warning! Long post alert... ❗️

Today is a very special day! ❤️🐾

My very first litter turns a year old! This whole process has made me learn a lot. I have learned more about the breed and was even able to go to Ireland in June and learn a ton more. Ireland as a country was a wonderful experience but I was so happy to meet with a chairperson of the Irish Wolfhound Club of Ireland. He gave me so much information on the breed and is willing to continue my education on the breed and put me in touch with more fellow wolfhound lovers!🇮🇪
This day is also very bittersweet, as not all my puppies have grown and prospered in the last year. Unfortunately one of my puppies had to be put down, due to no fault of her own. It was an extremely hard decision but one that with the help of my vets was determined to be the best option for her, and I am grateful that I was able to be there with her in the end as well. This was not the puppy that I re-homed but her sister who was in the same original home. I took both puppies back when I determined that their care was not being met. I didn't share this when this originally happened as I was still processing everything.
Breeding dogs is not for the faint of heart and I will say that this situation made me rethink doing this altogether. As I lost faith in the person who had this puppy and her sister as I knew them on a personal level and at the time considered them a friend, but also lost faith in my own judgment.
I will not be having a litter this year even though I had planned on it. I just feel like it's not the right time quite yet to have another litter. My plan is to continue breeding next year, but will not know when a litter will be coming until then. I will continue to share more information on other breeders or answer any questions that anyone may have on the breed, or my current dogs.
Thank you to everyone who has followed along with my journey. I also appreciate everyone who has a puppy from this litter and how well they are doing in your care! You all have shown me that just because one person ruined some of this experience for me, not all people are bad. You have done wonderful and amazing things with the puppies you have gotten and I enjoy seeing them flourish in your care! Please share pictures in the comments if you are inclined!

Calling all Irish Wolfhounds!!

We are still looking for more Irish Wolfhounds to participate in our study on the genetic basis of osteosarcoma in young Irish Wolfhounds.

Our criteria includes purebred Irish Wolfhounds that are either:
- 5 years or younger and have been diagnosed with osteosarcoma
- Over 10 years old and have never been diagnosed with osteosarcoma

Please let us know if you or someone you know is willing to help with this important study. We are able to have samples shipped to our laboratory, so coming to UW Madison is not necessary. At this time, we only have funding to enroll Irish Wolfhounds located within the United States.

We are so thankful to all who are considering and have already participated! We appreciate the continued support.

Hi everyone!

I recently had to take back a puppy from Rowan’s August 2022 litter due to no fault of her own. Unfortunately I cannot keep her as I already have my hands full with Rowan and Koe and can’t give her all the attention she deserves. If anyone would be interested in an older puppy please message me, we can discuss her needs. She will stay with me until I find the right fit for her and will always have a home here, just like all of my puppies but I feel she would make someone else a wonderful dog.

Hi everyone!

We just got back from the vet and unfortunately Rowan isn’t pregnant. She is showing signs of a false pregnancy and that is why I thought she was. Maybe later in the year we will have another litter, it all depends on how Rowan does during this time and when she comes back into heat. I’m so sorry to everyone who had their hopes up on getting a puppy this time around.

Hi All!

So back in March Rowan came into heat unexpectedly! After determining that she was in good health and had recovered awesomely from her last litter I took her to be bred. At her ultrasound appointment no puppies were found. I didn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up so I chose not to post this.

However, at the time of her ultrasound she could have been pregnant but I took her to get checked too soon. So I kept an eye out for changes in her just in case it was wrong…

Well she’s showing signs of pregnancy so we are going to get an X-ray done next week to see if she is for sure pregnant or just getting fat lol 😂

If she pregnant her due date is May 2nd…. So I have little time to prepare. So keep and eye out for an update next week!

Thank you to the awesome Big Dream Irish Wolfhounds. for this handsome fella!

Koe has the same dad as the puppies from the August 2022 litter. He will be the up and coming stud for my breeding program. I can’t wait to see this boy grow!

Rowan and Koe go to Playcare at Down Home Dog Resort in my local area. They have a blast and Hannah the owner also got two of the girls from my last litter. This week they had their holiday “pawty” and these photos were taken. They are absolutely adorable 😊 and make me me laugh 😂

Afternoon!

So I realized I have never posted any photos or details about the sire of the pups.

I bred Rowan to Big Dream Irish Wolfhounds. stud Kane. He is amazing, a giant compared to Rowan and beautiful! This was an awesome pairing and I can’t wait to see what these pups grow up to be.

He has an amazing temperament is OFA cleared and amazing all around dog. I think these pups are going to be the perfect combination of the two…

Puppies are 2 weeks old today! 😊 They are starting to try and walk and eyes are opening. This morning a couple were even growling at each other and it was the cutest thing!

I am loving watching these babes grow, and growing they are… I will try to post more updates throughout the week as they are changing so much and their personalities are starting to show!

Hi!

Today marks 1 week that the puppies have been here. 😊 They are growing like weeds! I weighed them all again today and they have all gained between 8-11 ounces. So they are doing very well!
