As we rejoice in the cooler temps and much needed rainfall today we also wanted to share another one of a seemingly endless list of things to be grateful for out here!
Miracles just keep happening here - Hailey, our beautiful metabolic horse, who struggled to walk a few months ago, got the all clear to return out to pasture with friends old and new yesterday!
It fills our hearts to know that supporters like you, who love and follow Hailey's journey, make this possible!

Evening at Kindness Ranch is a magical time... especially this time of year.
If you have ever considered visiting, adopting or volunteering we encourage you to get in touch with us soon! We are headed into the busiest summer we have ever had and available yurts, campsites and our RV spot are almost booked solid for the rest of the summer and fall!
That being said, we are also looking at bringing in the greatest number of beagles in two years and are in desperate need of approved adopters or fosters!
If you are interested in fostering please reach out via [email protected] for more information and starting the approval process - we need the room for all these amazing souls coming out of research!
Coriander was part of a self guided tour of the vets office yesterday... probably wondering where the treats were stashed for being such a good patient.
PS - You all came through amazing with the food bowls! We met our goal!!! Thank you so much!
West Bank girls Tala and Sunbul are experiencing the changing of the weather in Wyoming and seem to have mixed feelings about it!
Doing round the clock checks on all the animals.... what a difference a day makes in south eastern Wyoming - it was 70 and sunny 36 hours earlier!
Dear Kindness Ranch Supporters,
This is a video of Platine prior to her journey to the Kindness Ranch
We are reaching out to you today on behalf of a very special dog named Platine. This brave soul has journeyed over 7,000 miles to find refuge at the Kindness Ranch after enduring unimaginable hardships.
Platine was found with a broken leg and, despite receiving a platinum rod to aid her recovery, she still requires extensive veterinary care to fully heal and become the joyful, playful dog she was meant to be. She is understandably nervous after her long journey, but with the loving care of our skilled staff, she is slowly beginning to trust and enjoy the affection she so rightly deserves.
Our dedicated veterinarians are confident that with a series of surgeries, we can alleviate Platine’s discomfort and give her the opportunity to lead a normal, happy life. The first of these surgeries, a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO), is scheduled for April 12th. This will relieve the bone-on-bone discomfort in her hip. Following her recovery from this procedure, we plan to address her front leg, which may require amputation.
The cost of these surgeries is estimated to be around $7,000. We knew when we welcomed Platine to Kindness Ranch that she would need additional care, and we are committed to providing her with the best possible treatment.
Now, we are asking for your help. Will you join us in giving Platine the chance she deserves? Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in covering Platine’s medical expenses and ensuring her recovery. And once she receives a clean bill of health, would you consider opening your heart and home to this resilient and loving dog?
Thank you for your continued support and for considering this special plea. Together, we can make a difference in Platine’s life and give her the future she deserves.
