We are thrilled to introduce Bodhi, the last pup from our current litter! This little green collared boy as well as the other pups have brought so much joy and excitement to our lives. As you can see, Ellie J is overjoyed to have her new best friend by her side. These pups are more than just pets, they are a source of inspiration, laughter, and healing. They have a way of bringing us all together and helping us through life's challenges, and are sometimes the bridge from emptiness to understanding. We look forward to watching Bodhi and Ellie J grow together and create unforgettable memories! Keep the smiles coming you two!!🐾🐾

Received the new Boykin Spaniel Society magazine yesterday on page 51, featuring Huck showing off his Redhead after a beautiful retrieve on a cold morning this past winter. Huck is indeed a handsome boy!

Incredible few days in Camden SC! The trial was tough, but fair for intermediate level dogs. Huck made it to the Top 11 and ran a good test, but didn't place in the top 6. He's young with a bright future and he’s heading to get his finished title within the next year. Looking forward to the next test where we can raise the bar higher for ole Huck. Bella was excited to see her Huck and was proud to see him run so well!!

This Easter, Broad River Boykins is celebrating with an unexpected surprise - a basket filled with 8 adorable boykin spaniel puppies, instead of eggs. This litter has been one that we have anticipated for a while, and it's finally here! Hucks first litter and we’re beyond excited. Bella says Happy Easter to all her pups that have went on to their forever homes and all her friends and family!!

Been a long time coming but after 35 years of waterfowl hunting on this 10 degree January morning I got an early birthday present. Huck made a 100 yard retrieve on a beautiful Georgia Pintail.

We are very excited to share with you that Huck has now completed his HR title at 2 years of age. He is a hard charger, and has a drive and water entry that mimics his father “HRCH UH BALLARDS BOY”. He has a pedigree that speaks for itself, but as we all know in the dog world eventually you have to do it yourself and this young dog is making his mark. This could not have happen without an exceptional breeding that took place with Eli Epps ( Madisons Pick em up Nessie) and Leslie Ballards (BOY) and we were just one of the fortunate ones that got our hands on one of these diamonds. We knew early on he was an exceptional dog, but needed someone to put the foundation in him to excel with his ability. We had no doubt that professional trainer Austin Horne at South Fork Kennels would make it happen and he has not disappointed. Huck has a high ceiling and we believe he’s just starting to stretch his legs in the field trial game. Last year he hammered the novice tests at Nationals and he’s going to try his hand at intermediate this spring in Camden. We believe with a dog like Huck that can’t get enough training and a Trainer like Austin the sky is the limit for this pair. We are looking forward to hunting season and getting this boy with feathers all in his mouth. We are going to breed Huck in the future and his required health tests and genetic tests have been completed and posted to the OFA database. I’ve added a photo below as well for those that are interested. He is triple registered as well AKC, UKC, and BSS. For those interested in him as a sire please feel free to send me a DM or you can give me a call. We will only allow him to breed with fully health tested females that are at a minimum BSS Registered.

Huck had a great weekend at the Nashville Music City HRC trials completing 2 Seasoned passes. We could not be more proud of Huck and his trainer Austin Horne at South Fork Kennels for putting in the work to achieve this at only 2 years old. Going for his Seasoned Title in a few weeks at North Georgia 🤞

Pups had their 6 week shots and health checks last week and everything was perfect. Dr. Hitchcock is the best there is in veterinary medicine and he had some extra special help with these checks by the help of his little intern Bella. Just over a week and these little pups head to their new worlds full of new adventures. Always hard to watch em go but they have some great homes full of love in their futures.

Our newest litter of pups have been playing extremely hard today in the Georgia heat. Suns been out so our little brown dogs have their tongues out. 4 weeks old this past week and they’re all doing great. This is one great group of little brown pups 🐾

Pups were born 1 week ago and are doing extremely well. These brown dog piles are where these young pups grow such a special bond with each other. Lots of extra special love and warmth go into these little brown dogs. It is those key ingredients that makes them excel as they branch out to their new worlds in 8 short weeks. We love watching their development week by week. Stay tuned with lots more pictures of puppy development in the coming weeks. All pups are spoken for 🐾🐾

Huck picking up marks this summer morning getting ready for his first hunt test in a little over a month in Tennessee . He’s making great progress with Austin Horne at South Fork Kennel.

One of our pups from about a year and half ago. Phillip and Amy Gentry have made this girl into a retrieving machine. Everyone meet Prissy. She’s one smart pup that loves the water

Huck getting some force to pile work at South Fork Kennel. He’s doing exceptionally well for a 10 month old. Austin Horne has laid the foundation for this pup to be successful. Can’t wait until August until we start his first real test 🤞

Our puppies got a special treat tonight with a bed time lullaby by Bella Ridge. Socialization with children is an important part of the learning and growing process with our little brown dogs!
