Hub City Humane Society is desperately seeking donations in order to stay afloat and continue to assist a community that is severely overpopulated with pets in need. Every dollar truly does go back to the pets, whether it be for supplies or medical expenses. Please, if you are unable to donate, share this post in hopes that someone you know may be able to spare $1! Every penny counts and will save lives ❤️
We need HELP!
We are in a crisis right now and we need to reduce animals in our care and increase support to help us continue to save animals!
This summer has been terrible, and all of us in animal welfare have been watching it, like a mushroom cloud off an erupting volcano, just waiting for the hot lava to hit us. One shelter after another, closing their doors or returning to a "Kill" status. Unfortunately, the lava is at our doorsteps now, threatening OUR ability to save animals. The economy has hurt everyone everywhere. Adoptions are down, transports are down, donations are down, and help in general is dwindling. We can no longer continue at the capacity that we are at, we will be doing the animals in our care a disservice. We need to DRASTICALLY reduce our numbers to where our dedicated and hardworking employees can provide the quality of care that each and every animal we take in deserves without burning themselves out every day. This is where we NEED you to come in! We need donations to be able to properly provide the level of enrichment, space, and medical care that the animals in our care deserve. We need people to adopt! We need help and support from the community. We need businesses who want to sponsor animals or our facility. We need volunteers to help with adoption events and care for the animals. We need to find caring people looking for a job. We need support from anyone at all who sees this to be able to continue to care for the animals. We just need help before we fall over the ledge and can’t remain open.
