📣CALLING ALL FARMERS AND GARDENERS📣

We will have more organic spent straw available tomorrow for pickup! Come get it before it’s all gone. Pickup times are Friday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. If it’s not all gone by tomorrow, we will add more pick-up times on Monday.

🌾What is spent straw you ask?
It is the leftover material that we used to grow our mushrooms on.

👩‍🌾How can I use it in my garden and on the farm?
You can add it to your compost pile. It’s also fantastic for healthy garden beds. It helps improve soil structure, water holding capacity, and adds nutrients.

🚜How do I pick it up?
Bring a box, truck, or trailer by on Friday and be prepared to load it yourself! We do this regularly so contact us if you’re interested in getting on our lists for scheduled weekly pickups ☎️

THIS SPENT STRAW IS FREE. You seriously can’t find a better deal folks. Find us at 314 E 3rd Street, Hattiesburg, MS.

We have a massive amount of spent straw available for pickup! Please come get it so the city doesn't get mad at us 😅

Your soil will thank you.

Spent straw is great for adding to your garden beds or raised beds. You can plant seeds for wildflowers, herbs, and lettuce directly into it.

Bring your truck or trailer and be prepared to load it yourself 👩‍🌾

We had a blast at today!

We gave these future mycologists an inside look of our facility and talked about the lifecycle of a mushroom 🍄

These kids kept the questions coming. It was nice to share a little knowledge with the next generation of mushroom lovers.

We are finishing out the year doing what we love - dressing like minions and deep cleaning the farm 🧽

2023 was a big year for Slowpoke Farms. After years of planning and hard work we finally started producing and selling mushrooms! We've developed relationships with grocers, chefs, and distributors that will help us take things even further next year.

2024 is going to be a good year to be a mushroom farmer 😜
