So grateful we have music therapy for the pups we take care, especially on exciting days like this where people can enjoy their fireworks. We have good insulation and some sound barrier to help soothe the stress it can create on some of the pups we have. Even so, let’s be mindful of others with the triggering effects these sounds and lights can bring up. Happy New Year everyone!

This is the most recent information we’ve received from the veterinary facilities regarding the new outbreak. We are remaining open for business. We maintain the same vaccination requirements, as even though they are currently unable to tell whether this respiratory disease is bacterial or viral, these vaccinations may help to prevent the spread or lesson the symptoms. If you have an older dog, a breed that has a shorter snout (pug for example) or a pup that has heart conditions it may be safer to find an indoor pet sitter instead of boarding as their immune systems are more fragile and susceptible. Also, if your pet has experienced symptoms within the past two weeks prior to boarding, or if it has stayed at another facility prior to boarding with us we may have to cancel their stay. We pride ourselves on our clean environment and so far, (knock on wood!) we have never had a case of kennel cough in the entire decade we’ve been in business 🥰. Thank you all for your continued trust in us to care for your fur babies! We love what we do. Looking forward to a safe and happy howliday 🐾!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving! We’ve been having a lot of fun spending time with a ton of pups here’s some adorable, slobbery, happy faces that enjoyed getting spoiled with turkey dinners. ❤️👅💕☺️

Just letting the neighborhood know we have upgraded to several more security cameras throughout our building that will track down our streets and alleyway. They record and are high definition so if anyone has any strange activity or concerns we may be able to help.

We did it, everyone! Mannix is ADOPTED!

Hi! I'm Mannix and I'm feeling a little down, so I need extra cuddles tonight. My littermates and I just wrapped up our third adoption event without finding homes. My rescue says it's because of Black Dog Syndrome. They say it's a statistical fact, whatever that means. Did you know that black dogs wait four times longer to get adopted from shelters and rescues than their lighter coated and more colorful counterparts? I'm not sure why- because everyone at Rez Dog says we're one of their favorite litters of all time. I would describe myself as a pretty laid back boy. I'm a puppy, so love to play and explore- but my favorite thing to do is cuddle! My foster mom always says I'm a "gentle soul." One day, I hope to be big and look like my mom. They say she's a greyhound. I never met my dad, so I don't know what he was- but he must have been a pretty cool guy if I'm anything like him. I'm two and a half months old now and have been dreaming about a home of my very own for weeks. Please reach out if you'd like to meet me- I've been waiting for you! Oh....and four of my sisters that all look like me said to tell you they are looking for families too!

Our food pantry is once again empty of food but we are preparing for a truck to come in on Friday. As we clear out a couple of remaining pallets we will have various types of cat litter that will be put out in front of the shelter over the next couple days. There are also a couple boxes of training pads.

Take what you need, leave the rest.

Just to clarify "need" does not mean what you will use over the next 12 months. Someone may "need" some this week.

Not something I usually post, but a family member needs to re-home their little.
His name is Beau, he's a one year old small mixed breed. Unfixed and not up to date on shots. He is not house trained, but is kennel trained. He knows basic commands(sit, lay down, come). He likes to take walks and p*e on every bypassing tree, even when he's out of p*e 😂 He takes a bit to warm up, a little on the timid side, but he's all bark and no bite. He likes to sleep on his back with his arms and legs in the air. He is frightened by loud noises. But he's a good boy, he's loving and likes to hop around and play once he is comfortable
He comes with a lease, collar, dog food, shampoo, toys, food/water dishes, treats, kennel

No rehoming fee, just want a good loving home for him who has the time for him.
