Hope on the Prairie is what you get when you have a group of people with big hearts, deep roots, and a passion for running. We would host a small race on the prairie of our hometown of Hawk Point, MO to benefit a charity of our choosing. Our small dream of one race has turned into a annual event and we are excited that each year it continues to grow! Since 2013 we have helped support the American
Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, & the family of Charlie Davis the MS (Multiple Sclerosis Society) & Evelyn’s House, SSM Foundation of St. Louis, and the American Cancer Society. This years charities of choice will benefit: Epilepsy Foundation of St. Louis, Barnes Jewish Hospital St. Peters Foundation, & Make-A-Wish Foundation. The course is approximately 4 miles and is a down & back road race. We begin at the Hawk Point Community Park. Enjoy the extremely flat course while taking in the scenic views of the sun setting across the prairie. For our younger participants (12 & under) we will have a 1 mile fun run prior to the 4 mile race. This year we will have a new & improved unofficial timing system. The course will be the same but will be clearly marked. All race participants will receive a hot dog & drink post race. After you finish the race plan to stay and party with us in the park. Returning this year will be 2 Chics & a Photobooth along with a silent auction. We look forward to having you join us and for your continued support! Life…is a race worth running for.
