Bonjour à tous! Andromede va bien en ce 24 septembre, présentement il est stable, après avoir fait un épisode inquiétant de colique voici 10 jours qui nous a beaucoup inquiétés. Quand le vétérinaire est venu, car il ne se levait plus, il a pu conclure à une colique prise à temps et le soigner.

Une intervention et injection de banamine l'ont donc aidé à se remettre et il va mieux, heureusement... La Andromede boit environ 21 litres de lait artificiel par jour : Sachez que vos dons nous aident directement à lui acheter son lait (Il s'agit de Purina Mare's Match) dont il consomme environ 1 sac par 10 jours.
Nous avons aussi essayé de le réintroduire en horde de chevaux, mais ce fut sans succès, après quelques coups de pieds qu'il a reçu en se faisant chasser de tous, la semaine dernière.

Contre toute attente, ce sont surtout les poulains plus agés qui l'attaquent directement le plus fortement, et les mères le mordent ou le tapent, ce qui rend dangereux cette étape, tant qu'il n'est pas assez grand pour absorber les coups. De plus, comme personne ne veille sur lui quand il dort dans les herbes, il est encore trop à risque d'etre attaqué par des prédateurs et doit malheureusement rester encore en box présentement...

HELP US SAVE BABY ANDROMEDE, who just lost his mom and is looking for someone to help him with bottlefeeding…

Dear fellows horse lovers, the worst we could imagine has happened to our gorgeous Friesian mare Opérette… after giving birth to her beautiful baby Andromede a little more than a month ago, she has succumbed to an unknown illness at the veterinary hospital of Gainesville. She was diagnosed with pneumonia and the presence of food residue in her lungs, which seem to have been the result of difficulties for her to swallow food, despite our many attempts to find a proper meal plan for her…

We are now left with her little baby who needs regular bottle feeding and care, and are looking for help from the horse industry around the Ocala area. The owners are currently stuck in Canada for the show season and cannot go back to the USA for another few weeks. We are therefore looking for someone, or a family, with experience with horses who would appreciate the opportunity to stay at our beautiful ranch near Gainesville, against a few services, such as feeding a few horses and dogs and bottle feeding little Andromede every four times a day, so every 6 hours. 12 horses Big Sale - very rare opportunity to acquire reg. Horses (Friesian, pur Spanish horses (P.R.E), Gypsy vanners, Warmblood, Canadian and Cutting/roping QH, Foal, Mares, Geldings, stallions) for a fraction of their price, with many of them used to be ridden also in rare disciplines (side saddle, medieval jousting, reins at the belt, high school dressage and so on). All in super health, sane and sounds, vaccinated, dewormed, we took great care of them since their birth. All the adults are well trained and used to participate since years to musical horse shows (on the scene in front of a large public of families!); all foals are manipulated; all horses are used to live in box stall & herd and super socialized.

LOOKING FOR A WORKING STUDENT
(please read the ad carefully: this is an exchange of services)

We are looking for a responsible and reliable individual for our 110 acre ranch in Florida (located 40 minutes from the World Equestrian Center, 20 minutes from Gainesville and 1 hour from Saint-Augustine) who will care of our animals during our stay outside the country.

What we offer:

✔️ lessons with our High School dressage rider from the French military cavalry
✔️ pocket money (NO SALARY)

What we need:
- someone to feed the horses every morning and night (about 1 hour morning and night)
- someone to feed the dogs every morning and night (about 10 minutes morning and night)
- someone to keep the house and the dogs that live inside
- someone to welcome clients
