So a lot of you are going to be seeing some of these photos (and most of you have already, I know because you told me) but I wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to the photographer who made the impossible possible.
was given a task that will sound SO silly and easy, taking photos of soil in a bag. Simple, right!? WRONG. You see, our soil has one major photographic flaw - it holds so much moisture that the inside of the bags would build up condensation, and with the plastic nature of the bags, would refract the light so bad it'd blow it out. Then came the second challenge, our color scheme is black, green and purple. Now you have to take this haloed out nightmare in a bag and put it on the contrast of a jet black background, while not hiding the rich coffee colors of the soil itself. As if that wasn't a challenge enough, he had a THIRD challenge: how do you make soil look sexy, fun, or intriguing.
He nailed every single expectation, and did it under a time crunch. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer for this, and if you need photography work, I cannot speak more highly of his work. Much love you absolutely CRUSHED it!
