Jolene update: her pregnancy took a scary turn this weekend and she ended up having an emergency spay surgery. She was acting lethargic, barely eating and licking herself a lot for two days (not totally odd behavior for a pregnant dog) but all of a sudden Friday night I felt a knot in my stomach that something was WRONG. I brought her to the ER and they confirmed my fears that she was having a miscarriage. Ultrasound showed her uterus was filled with fluid and we made the decision that spaying her would be the safest way to assure her health. The surgery went well and she’s now home recuperating. I’m sad she only got to have 3 litters cuz her puppies were soooo cute! But of course our dog’s health is always our number one priority. For those on our deposit list and waitlist this means a bit of a delay in getting your puppies but know that it will happen when the time is right.

Rachel and Guinness’s gorgeous April 2024 litter! I am keeping Pippa and Rue for our breeding program so of course they got their official bandanas today! 😝 Their great-grandmother is Sophia, our original breeding momma who made it to 13 with never a health issue. Their grandmother is Lexi, who is now almost 11 and still 100% healthy on all counts. I love generational health verification! Let’s keep these healthy lines going 🥰
