ENS or Early Neurological Stimulation

The U.S. Military in their canine program developed a method that still serves as a guide to what works. In an effort to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes, a program called "Bio Sensor" was developed. Later, it became known to the public as the "Super Dog" Program. Based on years of research, the military learned that early neurologic

al stimulation exercises could have important and lasting effects. Their studies confirmed that there are specific time periods early in life when neurological stimulation has optimum results. The first period involves a window of time that begins at the third day of life and lasts until the sixteenth day. It is believed that because this interval of time is a period of rapid neurological growth and development, and therefore is of great importance to the individual. The "Bio Sensor" program was also concerned with early neurological stimulation in order to give the dog a superior advantage. Its development utilized six exercises which were designed to stimulate the neurological system. Each workout involved handling puppies once each day. The workouts required handling them one at a time while performing a series of five exercises. Listed in order of preference, the handler starts with one pup and stimulates it using each of the five exercises. The handler completes the series from beginning to end before starting with the next pup. The handling of each pup once per day involves the following exercises:

Tactical stimulation (between toes)
Head held erect
Head pointed down
Supine position
Thermal stimulation
Tactile stimulation

Tactile stimulation - holding the pup in one hand, the handler gently stimulates (tickles) the pup between the toes on any one foot using a Q-tip. It is not necessary to see that the pup is feeling the tickle. Time of stimulation 3 - 5 seconds. (Figure 1)
Head held erect - using both hands, the pup is held perpendicular to the ground, (straight up), so that its head is directly above its tail. This is an upwards position. (Figure 2)
Head pointed down - holding the pup firmly with both hands the head is reversed and is pointed downward so that it is pointing towards the ground. (Figure 3)
Supine position - hold the pup so that its back is resting in the palm of both hands with its muzzle facing the ceiling. The pup while on its back is allowed to sleep. Time of stimulation 3-5 seconds. (Figure 4)
Thermal stimulation—use a damp towel that has been cooled in a refrigerator for at least five minutes. Place the pup on the towel, feet down. Do not restrain it from moving. (Figure 5)
These five exercises will produce neurological stimulations, none of which naturally occur during this early period of life. Experience shows that sometimes pups will resist these exercises, others will appear unconcerned. In either case a caution is offered to those who plan to use them. Do not repeat them more than once per day and do not extend the time beyond that recommended for each exercise. Over stimulation of the neurological system can have adverse and detrimental results. These exercises impact the neurological system by kicking it into action earlier than would be normally expected, the result being an increased capacity that later will help to make the difference in its performance. Those who play with their pups and routinely handle them should continue to do so because the neurological exercises are not substitutions for routine handling, play socialization or bonding. Benefits of Stimulation

Five benefits have been observed in canines that were exposed to the Bio Sensor stimulation exercises. The benefits noted were:

Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate)
Stronger heart beats
Stronger adrenal glands
More tolerance to stress
Greater resistance to disease
In tests of learning, stimulated pups were found to be more active and were more exploratory than their non- stimulated littermates over which they were dominant in competitive situations. Secondary effects were also noted regarding test performance. In simple problem solving tests using detours in a maze, the non-stimulated pups became extremely aroused, whined a great deal, and made many errors. Their stimulated littermates were less disturbed or upset by test conditions and when comparisons were made, the stimulated littermates were more calm in the test environment, made fewer errors and gave only an occasional distress sound when stressed.

and puppies had their final vet visit! They passed their exam with flying colors! The ladies at the Vet office loved on these sweet babies! The veterinarian said they look great! They all received their vaccinations and are now ready for their FURever homes 🏡 pickup day on January 12th!

❤️We do still have a few females and one male still AVAILABLE in this litter so don’t hesitate to reach out❤️

We will put the veterinarian’s findings in each of the puppies record packet in their puppy kit to send home with you on pickup day!

We have 2 sweet girls looking for their forever homes! First up is Blossom! She’s the smallest in the litter.. She’ll be right around 30lbs with a wavy apricot coat 🤩

Then we have Brownie who will be right around 32-35lbs ! She too will have that gorgeous wavy Apricot coat!

Both of these babies came out of the and Litter! Ellie’s bloodlines are out of Sweden and are renowned for world champions in obedience and received the highest merit a breeder in Sweden can achieve.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime award for a breeder and it can only be awarded once.

Hey Everyone👋 It's Ashley, I wanted to do a little “Meet the Breeder” post. It’s not often I share a lot of info about myself but I wanted to give you a small glimpse into the journey that led me to become a Goldendoodle (& Golden) Momma and Breeder 😊

In December of 2009 my fiance and I adopted our very first Golden Retriever together as a couple. Her name was “Maddie” and She was our little FurBaby! She was beyond spoiled!

In 2010, I embarked on a beautiful chapter of my life when I said "I do" to my best friend and embraced the adventure of marriage.

The following year, our hearts swelled as we welcomed our first bundle of joy, a little girl, into the world in 2011, making parenthood a cherished reality.

We knew we always wanted more children. In late 2013 we learned we were pregnant with our second child, a boy!

As fate would have it, 2014 brought unexpected twists. Amidst the anticipation of our second child, life took a remarkable turn when we found ourselves unexpectedly entrusted with the custody of our two nieces and became parents to four children in a matter of months. Going from one child to four was quite the change. We also adopted our second Golden retriever Mollie the very same year- (I’ll explain more about Mollie a little later)

A whirlwind of emotions ensued as we navigated this unexpected path ultimately leading to the decision to make our nieces a permanent part of our family through adoption two years later. A heartfelt choice that defined the essence of our journey that year. To top off 2016, with diploma in hand, I became a proud graduate of National Paralegal College with my associates degree in Paralegal studies. Unfortunately with the highs also came the lows, our Beloved “Maddie” passed away at the young age of 7 due to a number of health problems.

This is where Mollies story comes back into the picture… We learned about Maddie’s problems later in her life a few years before her passing and that led us to learn as much as we could about genetics and what role they were playing in Mollies life and led to us adopting the matriarch of our breeding program Miss Mollie. Who was genetic tested and healthy! After that we only bred our golden for ourselves to keep family pets that were healthy and we were tasked to rehome the others from those litters. After that people started reaching out often looking for a healthy golden 😊

Flash forward to 2018, and guess what? Life took another unexpected, furry turn! 🌟🐶

Instead of continuing on the legal path..
I found my true passion and became a Golden retriever breeder later turned Goldendoodle breeder. I found a true passion in what I was doing and loved being home with all my children.. From the legal world to puppy paws, I've embraced every moment of this pawsome adventure.

Bridging the gap between legal finesse and canine cuteness, my journey has been nothing short of amazing. Every puppy that leaves my home and care carries a piece of my heart and the joy of bringing happiness to new families.

So, here's to the unexpected twists, laughing children 😊 wagging tails, and the incredible joy that comes from doing what you love. 🎉🐕

All three of them laid there for awhile just playing quietly.. I seriously can’t get over how well behaved Ellie’s babies are! They have even taken to their potty training so well! All of them go out and potty and they know exactly what they are doing out there 😆

Every day they just amaze me! 🥰 I’m going to miss this bunch and can’t wait to see them all grow up and go on adventures in our Private “Littermate’s” group!

Note: 14 puppies took a long time to do pictures and I started with a lot of sunlight and ended up using artificial light(bulb)as the day started to get darker. I think that led to a few of them looking lighter than they would have.. Nicholas and Jack mainly so please do keep that in mind as they are a bit darker like their siblings.
