To my human moms & dads, this is what happens to my paws when you take me out in the scorching sun ☀️ when the pavement is so hot !

Remember I sweat through my paws, so in this heat I can’t get rid of my sweat as my paws are burning. Missing my walk won’t harm me. Please let me just relax indoors and take me out when the sun is down🐾

If you see someone walking their dog on hot pavement, ask them to take off their shoes for the remainder of their walk home. Maybe then they'll understand.

**** update*** Kenny was adopted. We have posted photos of him with his new family. Thank you so much for helping us find him a great home. Everyone was so caring.

Guys, Kenny needs out of the shelter. He is so depressed. Living in a kennel takes it's toll on the dogs. Some do better than others. He doesn't even look like the same dog that has been enjoying the kiddie pool out back.

He is truly a great dog. He's just tired and is giving up. He's housebroken, good with other dogs, knows some basic commands. Loves jumping in the car for a ride trip.

If you're looking for a good family dog. You couldn't do any better than Kenny.

"Yesterday I adopted the oldest, sickest, and sorest shelter dog. I'll never forget his eyes. When I went into the cage he didn't even bother to look, he knew I wouldn't even see him.

Curling around the corner He'd accepted his fate. The volunteer said to me many times... Are you sure this one? Are you sure? YES! This is my dog. He opened the cage and 3 animals fell on me. I ran towards him, suddenly he looked at me as if he saw an angel... I hugged him and told him that now he'll be happy again. Then he sleeps in my lap... probably the first peaceful sleep he ever had.

Give it a life. Give it a hug. They need us."

Just a quick (or maybe not so quick) visit to the best vet and staff around! Macey was the only one not needing see Dr. Self for shots (yes, of course she hung out by the fireplace). The rest of the crew received small treats for their good behavior!! 🐾
