Calhoun County is settling in at their new location!!! We are so happy for them, their animals, and their staff to be able to provide the care and shelter they have wanted to.

🚨🐾 We’ve Moved! 🐾🚨

Calhoun County Animal Control is now officially operating out of our new home at:
📍 555 Justice Ave, Anniston, AL 36205

We are no longer at the old Morrisville Road facility — from this point forward, all Animal Control operations, adoptions, and owner surrenders will take place at our new location.

🐶🐱 PLEASE help us spread the word! If you’re looking to adopt, surrender, or reconnect with your pet, call us or stop by — we’re here full-time and ready to serve Calhoun County’s animals and residents!

👉 A quick note: Our shelter animals are completely separate from the boarding facility.
Boarding services are still being provided through One World Pet Resort and their amazing staff.

Please bear with us as we finish setting up and getting our new signage in place — we can’t wait to welcome you to our updated space!

The family assistance spay neuter program is still in full swing.

⭐️Alabama Spay Neuter is supplementing the cost of spay neuter surgery on pets from qualified households.

These households can spay/neuter up to 3 pets at Alabama Spay Neuter for a copay of just $25 per pet!

Additional services (vaccinations, dewormer, microchipping, etc.) are sold separately.

⭐️Eligibility:
A family member of the household must verify current enrollment in one or more government assistance programs (e.g., Medicaid, Disability, WIC, SNAP, EBT, SSI)

⭐️Copay:
$25 per pet, due when making the appointment.

⭐️Appointments:
First come, first served, so act quickly- this won’t last long!

Did ya'll hear about the loose pigs up near our place over the weekend??? We sure are grateful for the help of concerned citizens and our city and county officers making sure every one was safe during the piggy round up. Some caring folks gave them a nice place to stay. They were exhausted and dehydrated trying to find their way home. Mom, dad, and 3 little piglets.

Dumping animals near our unoccupied building and other remote places does not "give them a chance". It puts the animals in harms way and risks human lives when they are trying to help the ones you abandoned to the wild.

Did you know domestic pigs can take on physical traits of their wild boar ancestors with in just a few months of living in the wild? Talk about party animals!!! You don't want to party with an unhappy feral pig!!!
