Kindred
Please welcome kindred, he is a beautiful fluffy Frenchie, who is dealing with a pretty bad skin infection. Despite how he feels, he is such a sweet little boy. Please send him lots of love and healing energy ❤️
Marshmallow
Sometimes in rescue, we see so many sad and awful things. We see neglect and abuse, we cry, you cry with us and we work to make a dent in the never ending wave of animals who need us.
But, we see things like today, where humans can be great! And do selfless, amazing things for others and animals.
I asked for help to get a baby from las Vegas Nevada to me here in California. Todd, reached out and offered immediately to help!
Little marshmallow was lovingly given the opportunity and chance by his breeder and Todd didn’t hesitate to step up to do something for a tiny little life who needed help.
I’m often saddened by the things I have to see and do, but I’m also equally astonished by the goodness of those who follow us. The giving, the fostering, the love, the transport help. It all matters.
Todd, you are a superhero for what you did for marshmallow today. I feel so grateful and appreciative of the incredible help you selflessly offered. People like you make a difference in this world and I hope you know how much this means to me and to little marshmallow.
Marshmallow is a special needs baby with presumed cerebellar hypoplasia. Possibly hydrocephalus as well.
But regardless of that, he is a soul and life worth loving. Please send both Todd and marshmallow lots of love ❤️

New kitties
Yesterday I went to PetSmart to get dog food and supplies. A lady rushed in with these two in her hands asking them to take them. She cleans houses and her clients garage burnt down. The other three passed in the fire with the mom and the shelter told her “throw them in the field” they were full and not taking any animals. Although I stopped doing cat rescue years ago, I did cat rescue for years and years. My heart just couldn’t say no. So my daughter is happily helping me with these cuties. One boy and one girl. Well, it didn’t stop there today we got a call for a cleft kitten. He is in bad shape hasn’t eaten for three days. I’m going to do my best but I’m super worried about him. Send us all the luck. My allergies are going crazy lol

Quillby update!
Look how precious this boy is! He is on the move and the happiest of boys to no longer be outside by a trashcan.
His first vet appointment is Friday for his health check and vaccinations. And im scheduling his neuter soon.
He is slow to warm up to other dogs but has taken to being smitten with my female Frenchie. He is guarding his food and water, not in a murderous way, but in a this is my food, please don’t touch it kind of way. I can understand considering his situation. He has big feelings and uses his paws to show me what he wasn’t and likes. He is precious in every way
Please donate to his medical car if you can.
Thank you yo the 4 lovely humans who have already donated ❤️

Murphy
In my almost 40 years of being on this earth, nothing has brought me joy like helping animals in need. I cannot say this “job” is easy. It’s never ending, at times it’s thankless, at times it rips your heart out. An other times it makes your heart soar.
Many of the dogs I say yes too are special needs. In fact most are. Some are not and just need a safe place to land. And other times I take on medical hospice cases. Some of which I never share. Due to that fact that it’s incredibly hard to share the emotional aspects of loving and losing a medically fragile dog that I was asked to take, with the knowledge that they were dying. Some people can’t or won’t handle that. Even though that is the hardest part of what I do, I know that the love and care given to these animals means the world to them before they pass and I hope to offer them peace in that time.
This is Murphy. He is a medically fragile dog. He is almost 5 weeks old and 9oz. He came in last week and was lovingly surrendered after crashing and then being stabilized. Murphy needs to be fed every 2 hours or he becomes hypoglycemic. He has 7 holes in his skull and a midline fracture down his skull as well. He has a massive umbilical hernia and he is one of the most incredible dogs I have had the pleasure to rescue.
He needs a bath and blow dry almost every day as he has long beautiful hair and tends to become a mess after eating. He is working on his weaning and drinking and has a slight underbite that has proven to be a challenge. So liquid food is a better option, but one that is high in calories so I am making him a special gruel with lots of calories in it.
I don’t know what to expect every hour with him, or what tomorrow will bring, but to love a dog is to give away a piece of your heart. No matter how long they are here. I don’t love half hearted and will admit that losing any of my dogs breaks me a little. But the next one fills the gaps.
I pray that Murphy will grow, will chang
