Just a few candid shots of myself and one with my girl (Stella) that helped me break my leg. She obviously didn't mean it as we were playing, and if you can't tell, even if I try and give her the cold shoulder, she's still all up in my business. I guess that's what you call Puppy Love ❤️

I haven't updated in a long time but I'm doing great. My Mom FINALLY is letting me explore and venture off a bit, sometimes even a few hours and there may have been a time that she was ready for bed and had to get re-deessed because I smelled something and went for a walk. I've managed to learn how to dig a bit, I like to re-dig in the fields that Dad just tilled-its a little easier. I'm finally able to go back to work with Dad and it's amazing. I even showed him my appreciation by dragging up a dead treasure I'd left there for him to see at the grain bins. He didn't like it as much as I did. He even had to use a shovel to get rid of it as it was partially liquefied.
I still love the indoor life and all the extra attention and scratches I get. I even am back to exploring with the kids. They watched me try to catch a squirrel all by myself, he was just a bit too fast and I only got part of his tail. But my kids were so proud of me.

Today marks 1 week post amputation. We don't wear the cone all the time but it helps so I don't lick or stick my head in spaces. I'm doing really good and have adapted amazingly well. (I may have gave my Mom a heart attack a dew days ago when I thought I could follow Dad to work again 😳) (it's only across the road)

Guess what happened yesterday? I got to come home. The Dr lady was able to do my surgery the night I got there, so I was able to go home earlier than my Mom thought. They were really friendly and they even took me outside to try out this new 3 legged run (which I did in kick ass style, cause I'm so strong). My Mom is still going to post my updates and the journey along the way. Thank you everyone

Hi Humans, the most amazing thing happened this morning. My Mom found a vet that would do my surgery for $700-$900 and they could do it tomorrow morning. We took a really long car ride, which I don't like and left 10lbs of fur in my Dad's truck. Oops. Thank you to everyone that has helped and is following, it'll be an adventure learning how to chase squirrels again with 3 legs.

The best estimate of $700-$900. They could even do surgery tomorrow if I can try and move things around enough.

Good Morning Humans. My Mom took me outside for a potty break and I got to enjoy the sun a little. She also gave me some medicine because I'm just moving a little slower today. Don't really seem like a lot of pain but I hide that very well.
Please remember to share my GoFundMe so I can start chasing after my kids again, they sure miss me outside.

Hi everyone, my name is Re*****on but my family calls me Remi. I'm around 8 years old and am part Husky and part Brittney Spaniel. My humans rescued me when I was about 7 months old from some people that said I was a runner and liked to chase things. (They also lived in Detroit Lakes, so understandable why they couldn't keep me).
I have mainly been an outside boy but whenever I've wanted to come inside, my humans have let me. There's 3 kids here that I LOVE and have dedicated myself too. Wherever they go, I go too.
That is until recently. On May 25, 2024 I was having a blast and playing with my indoor friend Stella, we were chasing stuff and having fun. Until I clipped my left front leg on 1 of my tiny humans scooter that I didn't see in the dark. Thankfully my Mom and Dad were right there and helped me calm down. My Mom and Journey brought me to the Animal ER to get better. The Dr said I broke both my Ulna and Radius and that it'd be best either surgery to repair or amputation. Since I'm 8 already and have been super healthy all my life, my humans think amputation is the best route for me to heal. My Mom started a GoFundMe account so hopefully I can get fixed soon. I've been a super good boy and didn't even whine or move for my bandage and splint change. My Dad even made me a new Kydex splint because somehow I broke the one the vet put on.

About my Mom and family
Hello, I'm Melody. My Husband Mark and I have 3 kids (L,K,J). We live in rural MN and have a small hobby farm. Remi has been a staple of our farm since we moved here and he's been nothing short of the best.
If you could please share our story that'd be wonderful, if you donate to Remi's GoFundMe, even better.
Right now I have a goal of $3,000 without knowing quite yet.
Remi and more so our family will be eternally grateful. Thank you for reading this far.
